- It is implied that, upon taking the advice of his friends, the protagonist invites a prostitute to his home. The protagonist insists that he is not interested in consummating their encounter as he is in love with somebody else. His parents walk in on him while engaging in an innocuous activity and accuse him of committing fornication. In the next scene, one of his friends state that he should have made the most of the 100 liras that they had paid for the prostitute.

- A character is intent on committing suicide by leaping from a tall building. The protagonist tries to negotiate with him, however, upon realising that he too may never be reconciled with the object of his affections, decides to jump too. Neither of the characters jump though, and the film as a whole does not recommend suicide as a solution to one's problems.
