"The Luxury in Self-Reproach" took the eye off the true prize of taking down Finney for at least this one week and instead highlighted some of the other foul players in this sick game of taking advantage of the young. I feel like this was necessary, but the detour from the main goal did not lead to the most compelling episode of television.
Once again, just like a few episodes ago, there was a very anticlimactic police bust where they found Emily in a cage. A gruesome sight and a sickening sight, but just not enough edge to the show. We want to see henchmen get taken out by police en route to these heroics.
