I don't know what's happening on TV right now but this is one of a slate of shows on HBO & Apple TV that seem to be written as they are going along. Supposedly A list actors saying the most inane dialogue. Repetitive. A plot that is barely worth an hour Law & Order episode. Scene after pointless scene. I feel like Soderbergh is another one of these directors who are in an 'auteur' class where no one gives them notes and everything they shoot has to be used. Clare Danes is doing her best Carrie from Homeland, always stressed. Olyphant is on way too many shows, always whispering. Zazie Beetz is supposed to be this quirky detective but just is annoying. Dennis Quaid as a grumpy old man, again. I laughed out loud when, after an attempted kidnapping, one of the characters says 'but there's a doorman!' When Danes suggests getting security cameras. This show is full circle terrible.

More stuff.... happened?

So, here we are at episode 4. What a waste of time. More things happen, no relevance to the plot.
Other things happen, no explanation. No rhyme or reason as they say.
Other things happen, which contrary to the aforementioned, make even less (than NO) sense.
This whole series so far has been a test to see how much of people's time they can waste. Lucky for me i am killing time right now.
Once again, you think the story might pick up and go somewhere and brought to immediate dismissal. Thare are a few contradictions in there also.
And why does Claire Danes character go to her father's place for "parental advice".... there is ZERO logic in here. You never see him, but his voice is quite clearly that of Jim Gaffigan, whom we see in the very next seen, and is a completely differebt character.
A character who also opens the door to the past only to leave you further frustrated at how egomaniacal and unlikable these characters are.
If they aren't stupid, or unlikable, or illogical, then they don't exist in this series.
This has to be one of the worst..... just worst, i've ever seen. Its so horribly bad. How can you have that much money and put so little effort into it.
Just bad for the sake of being bad.
