Very cool imagery, dark fairytale/art-house flick in the vein of The Wall from Pink Floyd. It's a collection of 10 music videos that tell a story through all the videos. Fans of Tim Burton, Guillermo Del Toro, and trippy films like Eraser head, Requiem for a dream, Bjork's dancing in the dark, etc. would really like this. The music is kind of trip-hop/new wave/electronic, which really sets the mood. I just wish the story was a bit easier to follow but such is the case with music videos, isn't it? You really have to pay attention to catch the meaning which is pretty deep. It's pretty short at 40 minutes long, but unique in that the only comparison I can make is The Wall, where lyrics and the music is really carrying the story. if anyone can recommend any other films in this vein, I would love to hear about it.

Intriguing

The video is very interesting and intriguing, it keeps you wanting to see what's next. The feeling of the music with the darkness is a plus. Also I like how the video shifts from one scene to another ,takes you through life and tells a storys then at end is the boy and girl showing that life can be wonderful in spite of all the hurt and pain.
Surreal and engaging music with video imagery that leaves a lasting Impression the way great art does."

"Our living consciousness is a deeply profound experience that, when we let it, comes into the light to confirm that the direction one is traveling in, is the correct one...one that connects with others in the silence of our thoughts.

Wild stuff! Reminds me of Bowie

Warning: Spoilers
This is heady stuff. I say it reminds me of Bowie not only because of the imagery but the vocals as well. Has a new wave rock quality to it.
The cinematography is way cool. Pretty unique and really captures the whole zeitgeist of alienation/loneliness. Scenes where the main characters are out of step, literally with the rest of the population really makes it hit home and become very relatable for the audience.
What we have here is a fantastical allegory, either set in another alternate reality or in the character's minds.
(SPOILER)
What's interesting is the symbolism of the characters being trapped in a prison of their own making. This hits home for me because sometimes I do this myself in my man cave, just to get away from people, and in a way it makes us prisoners in our own prisons.
Though in the story, it can be inferred that these two main characters decided to live in their own prisons because others didn't understand them or ridiculed them.
My take of what happened at the end (SPOILER):
The two adult characters "create" children who are parts of themselves - possibly the childlike part of themselves? They then sacrifice themselves for their children "creations", and, as in real life, the children "took their place" as "replacements", and the adults accepted that. By doing that, they allowed the children to experience a real connection, but the only way they could do that was to sacrifice themselves. Very sad but beautiful ending.
It's a unique package as a whole, and I recommend people watch it, but beware, you can't multitask while watching, because unless you are paying full attention, it's easy to get lost in the story because it's so surreal, which brings me back to Bowie, since that's what he did in so many of his videos. RIP.

Ambient and arty but down to earth

I liked the ambience, mood and all the songs matching to the scenes. There is no dialogue in the film so The music is important, complimenting what is seen on the screen. It's kind of experimental but still accessible, open to interpretation. Despite the very dark start, it was a good feeling to see the uplifting conclusion. My favorite part was when the two children met at the first time but I won't spoil it for you.
Seems like this would be great to see in an art gallery or MOMA. My only criticism is that it felt too short and could have filled in more of the details of WHY the characters were in their particular situations but overall it was a cool experience!
