But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for

Mary, a woman in the insane asylum professing her innocence is the focal point of this episode. No one will listen to her rants that a mad psychopath was the one who really killed her husband, that is into he shows up in the asylum to prey.

This episode was good, and it helped that it's a stand-alone episode (for now at least) as season 2 of FF has been bringing back too many characters from earlier episodes making new episodes a tad inaccessible for newer viewers. Not the case here thankfully. Also good old' Chromeskull himself, Nick Principe, plays the maniac, that was nice.

Eye Candy: all the girls save for the host show abundance of skin

Misconceived

Warning: Spoilers
"Crazy Mary" is a misconceived episode in two different ways: 1) for about 90% of its (shorter than usual) running time, it does NOT belong in a series called "Femme Fatales"; it would be right at home in a series called "Girls In Peril" or something, as a large psychotic man hunts down and brutally murders women (and a couple of men, to be fair) in an asylum for the criminally insane, 2) the climactic "twist" makes the entire story an outrageous cheat on the viewer. Director Darin Scott has made some of the better episodes of the series, like "Gun Twisted" or "Killer Instinct", and I don't think he is to blame for the mistakes of "Crazy Mary"; screenwriter Turok Andar is. * out of 4.
