Tanya barges in on Ray unexpectedly. She is furious. Ray put Jason out of commission for a while when he punched him at the lounge where he had a date with Jessica. Tanya, who brings Charlie's two sons with her, is ready to kill her partner. How dare him do such a thing? According to her reasoning, Ray is going to have to work harder to cover all of Jason's appointments. Tanya discovers the invitation for Mike and Frances' wedding. She is sore she was not invited, but Ray has no intention of taking her as his date.
Ray visiting Jessica to get the twins, is not a welcome sight. What's more, she has discovered he is doing some illegal activities in connection with the Wellness Center. She realizes he acted out of jealousy when he hit Jason at the table where they were talking. It is hard for Ray to accept the fact his former wife has a new opinion of him as a result of his careless action.
Missy, Charlie's 'ho' comes to Tanya's to get the boys. Tanya demands to be told where Charlie has gone. After all, he no longer stole the money from her pimp business, as well as Ray's. Missy clams up, then takes the boys away. Tanya will not let her go so fast. She follows her to the street in her robe only to see Charlie in an idling car. She has harsh words with her former boyfriend. Charlie tells her how he must disappear from the area and that he will repay the money. Tanya is left alone in the middle of the street watching the car go away.
The wedding is a fine affair. Ray is the best man. After all, he was responsible for bringing the couple together. Tanya shows up as the bride and groom recite their vows. Ray does not want to talk to her. She is clearly making a scene and what's more, one of the caterers come to ask her to leave. After Ray gives his speech, he is surprised in finding Jessica in a stunning looking outfit among the guests. As Mike gets to the piano to sing, Ray takes Jessica away as they begin to dance to the music.
Howard Deutch directed with style. Brett Leonard and Eileen Myers wrote the screenplay. Things are looking better in this episode for Ray and Jessica. Despite the fact Jessica knows about Ray's activities, she has always shown a soft heart for her former husband. Anne Heche and Thomas Jane share an intimate moment in the lawn where the wedding party is being held. Jane Adams does a wonderful job with her Tanya. Ms. Adams is a welcome presence wherever she is cast.
