the drama...

It's so intensely overdramatized, I love it. The story of the book is only marginally involved, mostly the names. It's like a cheap bodice ripper come to life and you either enjoy yourself immensely or have to stop watching for fear of death by second hand embarrassment. If you live through the first couple episodes you have good changes of being very entertained.

I like the chemistry between the two leads. I don't remember Anthony having a personality in the first season but in the middle of the second one, given some backstory, one starts to emerge. Kate got reduced to stubborn martyr but the actress is very attractive and both together are way more interesting then last seasons main pairing. I know most people thought the Duke hot and yes, he was handsome, but Daphne is the dullest piece of white bread I ever saw and I can't bring myself to care about her existence.

I still think Penelope is the cutest girl ever, every time her family puts her down I want to hug her until she squeaks and Colin needs a few slaps to loosen up a few thoughts in his brain.

Family

The sexual tension between Anthony and Kate is too much to handle right now. Omg.

And family dance at the Bridgerton ball was so sweet!!! I could not wipe the smile off my face.

Ooer Missus!

Warning: Spoilers
We finally see Kate and Anthony boil over. People speculating on them having a "real life" relationship should be aware that Jonathan Bailey is gay... He certainly does a good job playing a red-hot hetero lover though!

It seems odd (given both the Sharmas' and Eloise's situation and the latter's well-known obsession with Lady Whistledown) that they had not already seen the latest pamphlet, but we must suspend disbelief for dramatic effect.

A tough position for Penelope, she has to save her friend, but at a cost of hurting her and damaging the reputation of a whole family that she loves. I guess the moral is you reap what you sow.

AMAZING chemistry between Kate and Anthony

I can't recall when did the chemistry between two characters on a tv show captivated me as much as this one did.

It made me holding my breath at some moments and swooning like some teenager.

Chemstry and Great Dialogue
lizroy514 April 2022
I am very fussy about my books. I read the classics so when it comes to movies or a TV series, I am very aware of dialogue and whether characters romantically linked have chemistry. Well, I am enjoying this season more than the first. I turned to my husband after an episode and said, "I am so sad, this is over." Like with a great book, I can't wait to read the next chapter. Anthony and Kate such have highly-charged energy, it would be surprising if they were NOT involved off-camera. And the dialogue - just brilliant. I can't wait for the evening to sit down with my hubbie, cuddle up and savour another 'chapter' of this wonderful story. (BTW he enjoys this series as much as I do.) Please, please keep this series going!

To save a reputation
Calicodreamin29 March 2022
Despite a positively captivating last few minutes, this episode was predominately filled with repetitive back and forth between Miss Sharma and Anthony.
