Who is Sophia?
tfclougher25 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
The actress who plays Sophia is not listed under the actors. Perhaps that is a clue to the action. The rogue agents need proof of her death, but the people of her country would vote for her anyway and do. The agents try to insure some measure of justice and efficacy to that vote. They act as election monitors and some wonder how the CIA with a history of disrupting elections can be of help. Think Indonesia, Guatemala and Chile. Times have changed. See how they pull this off. In favor of democracy. Martin Fitzpatrick...I mean, Eric Close...caught my interest. He looks Irish and was a deep presence on Without A Trace. One of the agents has a Scots accent, reinforcing that "deep" relentless and rebellious air. Sort of anti-status quo.

Interesting but Ultimately Disappointing

I was channel surfing and stopped at this show when I saw the actress who played Sofia. She is a very beautiful woman and I was trying to recall why I knew her. I looked here on IMDb and was surprised that she is not credited in the cast. I wonder why.

I believe that she is Branka Katic, who had been on Big Love for several seasons. Perhaps it is a guy thing but her beauty and demeanor makes her a striking presence whenever I see her and I will stop to watch.

I found the episode interesting but the ending was very unsatisfying. After protecting Sofia from being assassinated by the regime presently in power, the team departs in a helicopter at the end of the episode and leaves her alone and unprotected. In the real world it is possible but very unlikely that all the bad guys, who were trying to kill Sofia an hour earlier to prevent her from winning the election, would see her victory statement on TV and suddenly decide to give up power without further ado.

Its not Russia or any of their republics, it's Serbia

I was really thrilled to see this show on air first thing, pilot was great, some of the next episodes were great, but 09 really blew it for me. They are using Serbian signs, language and logos to pose as Russian ones! Someone get someone from the language department or else this is going to hell! And as for the ten lines of text, this is the ten lines of text I need to type in for the review to be valid. And here is another lie of text and I think it should be valid now. Then I think about it, it already went to hell. So, why am I even writing this? You people need to learn about Europe. A lot. The tenth line of text.
