The best season finale cliffhanger ever made.

I watched the whole show and read the reviews.

A lot of negative ones due to the show not adhering to the source material. It's a good thing that they didn't follow the source it just gave in my opinion the best cliffhanger ever made for a tv show.

All those moments that some considered bland culminated in that epic moment. It's the first time that a show gives me goosebumps.

The slow pacing of character development was on point. The writing of this episode is just perfect. Slowly throughout the season, you get emotionally involved with the complex character. There's so much nuance to it that you get to like them despite the horrors they're forced to do to survive.

Because in the end, it's a story of survival and what was ready to do for the ones we love.

Just perfect.

I waited patiently for this season finale and was not disappointed. The trailer before already set the tone to expect 5 corners confrontation. There were many extreme conflicting decisions that flipped and ultimately it was an unexpected dilemma yet again with serious consequences. The original hit Swedish series where this was adapted from, was a novel approach to creepy but kinda romantic and sweet. That story stayed within a narrow confine and it's appeal worked then against the cold detached setting of the barren Scandinavian cold winter. This current US version was expanded nicely that branch into an entirely different story line with many more possibilities to build upon further. With the finale ending set deliberately with consequences, it would be a grave crime not to usher Season 2 to rally behind now a formidable war between 2 powerful families taking turns now as both predator and prey.

Let the right show come back

While there are many trash shows that get renewed; many good ones don't. Hope the best vampire show ever made comes back. My wife and I are seriously invested in the characters despite some not having the best morals; though it's only to survive. I've seen many vampire shows and this tops all of them. The four principle characters are as likable as they come despite the aforementioned lack of scruples for some. I absolutely hated the original, incredibly tedious Swedish movie but loved the remake and this series right along with it. Changing some of the characters made total sense and worked. Great balancing of sweet tender moments and full on vampiric horror and gore. I heard the creator has outlined a five season or so arc so no worries of the story becoming stagnant. Top notch acting, writing and directing make this a total winner. The only problem I'd see is the actress playing Eleanor would obviously grow in real life and that is something that would have to be worked around. As for that final scene; it's not one we saw coming. Crossing our fingers for S2.

What a SHOW.....WOW JUST WOW!

Now this is how you set up a season 2 this is one of the best season finales I have seen in a very long time. I must say episode 10 had a lot going on but it was time to gather all the loose ends to bring all the characters stories as ONE. The last 15 minutes had me at the edge of my seat eager and scared at the same time. The acting was so good the kids really did well and Anika what more can we say, great actress talented versatile. I can't wait to see her character evolve and how she portrays this characters growth and new meaning. @showtime you have a winner and a winning team. This show was very surprising a new depiction of the original. The writers did wonderful with these characters.

The show is AWESOME.

This show hasn't even scratched the surface of what it WILL BE. No spoilers but this is a well written show each cast member has their own identity which I like ( It's not just focusing on 1 character) they all come together. Awesome finale and biggest cliffhanger I've seen in a long time. When Io say they haven't scratched the surface I mean they have introduced "Vampire Apes", We can save that for season 3 or 4. The detective have great chemistry and introducing a new agent character towards the end of the series leads me to believed there will be trouble in the NEAR FUTURE..

I'm very excited to see what will come next.
