Sophie and Sid acting over the top is the kind of thing sitcoms used to thrive on in the 70's and 80's and yet have abandoned for one reason or another so I am glad to have it back.
I was not really a fan of Hilary Duff's character or acting on Younger, but it feels like she has found a better role for her on How I Met Your Father. A stable, broadcast kind of comedy, where she can be exaggerated when called upon.
The Parker character is not terrible for one is who just there to be a blip on the radar of one of the main characters. This is an area the predecessor really struggled with: finding those interesting girlfriends.
