Andrei, who after his divorce moved, together with his practice, to the ground floor of a villa, receives the unexpected visit of Gheorghe Somesanu, who menaces him with a malpractice lawsuit. Andrei goes to ask for help to one of his former patients, the lawyer Ioana Cernat. But Ioana can't forgive Andrei who, many years before, stopped their therapy sessions.

Ruxandra and Tudor, the couple from the first season, bring their son, Stefan, for therapy. The boy has emotional issues, is overweight and can't adjust to school life. The boy's eating disorder appears to be stirred by the relationship with his father, which makes him feel frustrated and anxious, and by his parents' crumbling marriage.

Dinu Damian, Andrei's new patient, is a famous theatre actor now in his 70s, accused of embezzlement and of being a former Securitate informant. Damian suffers from panic attacks but he doesn't think he needs therapy - he has come for medication. Andrei tells him that he doesn't actually need medication and that he can help him understand the causes of his pain.

In front of Maria's building, Andrei comes across Denisa, his big love from when he was young, who's now Maria's patient. Andrei tells Maria that Somesanu had sued him and he needs her to confirm that his therapy methods were okay. In addition, he confesses that he should have stopped Victor for getting back into the army.

Ioana has decided to come in for therapy: her encounter with Andrei made her realize that she needs to open up about many things which hurt her and cannot be discussed with anyone but him. She feels guilty about a decision she made a long time ago and she accuses Andrei for pushing her to make that decision.

Andrei discovers how painful the situation at school actually is for Stefan. The boy is convinced that his parents keep fighting because he's fat, lazy and maladroit. While they are waiting for the therapy session to end, the boy's parents start fighting. Andrei is impressed by the boy's isolation.

Clearly troubled, Damian reads to Andrei a highly disturbing email received from Beatrice, his daughter. The man is very worried - he fears she has problems and that her friends are evil. Damian talks about another panic attack that he had and Andrei is convinced that they need to find the cause as soon as possible.

Ioana has found out from Andrei's lawyer that the therapist had a fling with one of his patients. She is deeply frustrated by the fact that she never was a seductress like Nora or like her own sister, Monica. Ioana is upset that she cannot make men fall irremediably in love with her - sooner all later, they all leave her.

During the therapy session, Ruxandra finds out that Stefan has already met Tudor's new girlfriend, who helped him with his homework, and starts asking an endless series of questions that trouble the little boy. Andrei notices his pain, takes him to the other room and comforts him: it's not his fault that his parents are no longer together. Back into the main room, Andrei witnesses a terrible fight between Stefan's parents.

Damian comes to therapy straight from the airport - he went to Berlin, to see Beatrice, who's hanging out with a bunch of "trash" artists and who was really shocked to see him there. Damian rented a hotel room thus hoping to "save" her, but she was very aggressive towards him. As he finally realized that she doesn't need him, he had no choice but to return home - but not before having another panic attack.

Clara comes to therapy carrying a scale model for her final exams. Displeased with it, she breaks it in front of Andrei who tells her that her reaction reflects the way she feels about herself: the model was far from being perfect, but it needn't be destroyed. Similarly, Clara must accept her "imperfections" such as the disease.

During his therapy session with Maria, Andrei talks about his father, now living in an old people's home, and about his childhood, spent with an always depressed mother and an egotistical father. Andrei blames his father for leaving them and praises his mother. Andrei gets increasingly angrier...

Andrei finds out that Damian resigned from his job as manager of the National Theatre and that his father is seriously ill. In therapy, Damian admits to not leaving the house since he was, in fact, fired. And he doesn't want to delude himself, either: he knows all too well that he's finished. He forces Andrei to tell him whether he despises him for all the recent scandals.

Andrei warns Clara that when someone's sick, nothing is "easy". Andrei wonders how come her mother didn't notice she lost a lot of weight, but Clara is used to being invisible. Andrei is shocked by her stubbornness - she refuses to acknowledge the fact that she is too thin - and decides to accompany her to the hospital.

After the night she spent with Alex, Ioana thinks she's pregnant. She hasn't taken a pregnancy test yet, but all the signs are there. She realizes how scared she actually is and she's yet to tell Alex. If the week before she was afraid she was never going to become a mother, now she's panicking: the pregnancy sounds worse than death.

Andrei is in mourning and Clara is shocked that the week before, when she phoned and asked him to accompany her to the hospital, he didn't mention his loss. Andrei tells her that it was not the right moment and that he was pleased to hear her decision to do the test. Andrei finds out that Clara was hospitalized but that she still hadn't said anything to her family.

Ioana feels sicker and sicker and she has terrible stomach pains. She is not sure whether she was pregnant or not, but she bled for a whole week. While she was sick, her mother tried to get closer to her and carry a conversation they had been postponing for the past 25 years. Andrei thinks that Ioana is finally ready to acknowledge and cure her childhood dramas.

Clara comes to therapy compelled by Andrei's ceaseless persistence and phone calls. She is still upset that Andrei betrayed her. She's filled with rage and she doesn't know what to do with it. Andrei thinks that the girl wants to disappear behind her rage, but she really considers giving up therapy altogether.
