A perfect new teamleader
jaz-1555215 April 2022
What a good choice to make Dylan McDermott the new team leader, he's perfect for that, a bit raw and unconventional. I like it. I hope that we get many more episodes of this good series as well as the regular FBI series.

Good storyline with new team leader
petewerner13 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is the 1st episode with the new team leader, Scott Remy (Dylan McDermott) following the shocking death of Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon) 2 episodes previously. I really love this series and was quite apprehensive having McDermott as a replacement. No need to worry. The character Scott Remy plays will be perfect replacement. His character is opposite of what Jess was. Instead of slow and thoughtful, Remy thinks on his feet and acts fast.

The plot is a little complicated and involves a teenage girl hooked up with a not so nice older guy. The team must unravel 5 murders and how some "cult" church leaders are involved. All in all a good story.

Remy Scott Is a Different Kind of Leader
shelbythuylinh14 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In a good kind of way as one reviewer says a 23-year vet quick on his feet and thoughtful as LaCroix is dearly and will always be missed.

As he goes from playing "Organized Crime's" nasty Richard Wheatley to now a good guy and the new leader as Dylan McDermott brings tough guy qualities as Julian McMahon's was a father figure.

As they investigate the cult that led a young man and his younger teen girlfriend to be on the run killing her parents who prevented the forbidden love and one of the girl's aunt and a PI trailing them.

The boy who was a big time criminal and was also brainwashed there. By a religious cult aka a sheep in wolves clothing. That lead to the deaths of four people.

I am a Christian but really this episode makes Christians look bad as for once want to see them as good like a politician for once. Welcome Dylan McDermott!

Glad to see a new leader
denise-dargan3323 April 2022
I am sorry to say I found Julian NcMahon not up to the job in this series. He was slow and indecisive in the series. DYLON Mc Dermott brings a new dynamic to the series. Must admit completely surprised after watching him in Law&Order Organized Crime as Richard Wheatley. Very versatile actorand enjoyable to watch a good guy or bad.

A fresh start with a new SSA
CrimeDrama113 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I am still upset about Julian McMahon's selfish departure and I'm sure that young actress, YaYa Gosselin, was upset too. Her last episode (on-screen) was BEFORE McMahon's last episode. That is screwed up. I am boycotting any future ventures involving McMahon. Fortunately, Dylan McDermott did a great job in his debut as SSA. I never knew his character on NBC (villain) so the overlap issue didn't matter to me. I don't like anything about religion and that is about the only issue I had with this episode. It was a little strange that Pat/Vivian didn't have the kind of motive fans would expect from a criminal mastermind. She seemed more interested in Lilly than anything else. I was glad to see evil Pastor Bob dead. I found it odd since Jeremy really didn't have any dealings with Pat that he wouldn't distance himself and Lilly from Pat and it cost him his life. I loved the scene where Remy Scott shoves Pat into the motel room and closes the door behind him in order to confront her.

Still adjusting
user-3558321 April 2022
As a big fan of Julian McMahon and this series, I was sorry to see him leave. And while I also like Dylan McDermott, this is still a seismic shock to the show. Little bumpy here so far. Overly earnest. Hoping he finds his feet soon.

Improvement
cchappe15 April 2022
IMO Dylan McDermott is a vast improvement over Julian McMahon. Thanks.

HOWEVER...Alexa Davalos is still a breathy, mumbling low talker. I have a very hard time understanding her. I still had to active closed caption to follow her dialogue. Maybe some lesson in ENUNCIATION and talking from the diaphragm?

I do like "Remy" as the SSA so far though, I know, I know it's only one episode but Julian's character (Jess) and his acting were really not up to the usual FBI standard.

great episode
Lythas_852 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
That is the way it should be.. and how i liked it in season 1.. fast paced episodes full of investigation and the team going to one lead with another.

So another episode with crazy Christians.. talking about submissive women and then the crazy person was actually the wife.

Ok case but the new guy is good.. full of jokes .. completely different from jess that was like a grumpy old guy

every time i hear davalos, i remember hailey from chicago pd... both cant smile ever and they look like they are always constipated lol

well, hopefully they keep doing episodes like this and of couse, at the end some character development.. like the did in season 1 and 2.

Unable to get over loss of Julian McMahon
bmiller5923 April 2022
What a shame that Julian McMahon wanted off show. His leadership styles and how he conducted himself as an FBI agent in this genre IMO was excellent. As a law enforcement official he was scary, but he gave all the perps a benefit of doubt. I also liked the team relationship he fostered with his crew.

Dylan McDermott eh!!!! Take him or leave him he's just Ok but am not a fan. He speaks to fast and I don't see him mentoring the team like Julian. But I guess I was just used to Julian.

Alexa Davalos....didn't like her from episode #1. Her voice is irritating, but thought I'd get used to her. Hasn't improved to my liking. NOT! Is that her voice in real life or is she just trying to be intimidating. The rest of the team is and has been great, even with some of personnel changes made since initial episodes.

Oh yea, another thing I dislike is "the dialogue sounds right off the script." No nuance or showing emotive feelings in the script.

Yea, I'm done with this.

Why Mcderm!
wudoo-1633420 April 2022
Come on!! I stopped watching this series after this. Mcderm always a pathetic side character that leaves me annoyed. Certain scenes in Olympus and Line of Fire are great though.

Ehh
ajwiiiaw21 April 2022
The new ssa is not very good. He is quirky and not believable. There is no connection between him and the team. It would have been better to make one of the team the new leader and add another person to the team. The episodes he has been in so far have been boring.

Woke
Nadine2613 April 2022
This series is getting woke every episode! Always making Christian's the bad ones. What about the real Christian's? Why don't they show them? They do as much for other religions.

Done with it.....
cam40518 May 2022
Awful plot....delivery flat. This show ended with the change in lead actors. Too bad. Will be missed. McDermit does not deliver. He made a much more believable bad guy on Law and Order.
