A nice little opener.
A gentle comedy drama showing the ignorance of a small village when outsiders arrive.
Familiar faces from shows like Keeping Faith, Hinterland an Hidden, The Kumar's and Unforgotten.
Good afternoon TV.

Great series - frighteningly appropriate to re-air in lockdown
SunnyDaise20 August 2023
As a 5th generation inhabitant of Wales who still feels like an incomer but is also increasingly restricted by newer incomers taking over, ignorant of / killing off local culture, I can relate to most of the characters here! Many of my Welsh-born ancestors lived quite near where this is set, but although that was decades earlier, the basic problems remain the same. The freakiest thing was rewatching the showing during lockdown as some episodes are incredibly appropriate! That actually helped a lot - same old problems - some get sorted, some don't, the majority reappear, but somehow the world continues.
