With Susan away Ben has time to look after one of Janey's more flighty home care clients.
Unfortunately a decent premise and guest star in the form of Keith Barron doesn't amount to much. Despite Robert Lindsay's efforts, this is a laboured episode of the show, with a script so thin from EP Tom Anderson that a percentage of time is devoted to Ben singing 'Mr Bowjangles'. Great for Robert Lindsay, but not for us expecting a good episode.
Kieron Self returns fro the 1st time this series as Roger, but without Abi looks lost, which in itself is interesting, as he was actually integrated quite nicely in S9, and that's perhaps why he wasn't given as much screen time in S10-11.
The subplot involving him and Michael (who has been used much better in S10) has its moments, but again doesn't amount to much.
A very disappointing episode of the show, and one that definitely makes the case that the show had run its course.
