This is my favourite series on atm. Another excellent episode with lots of interesting stuff going on on several fronts. So well written with parallel themes (babies) in each of the strands - Tudyk excellent as always.

Very fun to watch

It was very enjoyable, and feels like the writing quality is returning to Season 1 era levels.

Most importantly, plot progression and character development were managed quite well in this episode.

Great episode off this second season. The storyline is continued at a nice speed and funny as usual. Love the unexpected action sequence on the train!

I don't even know what to tell ya, it's funny, the storyline/acting is great so imma just tell you right now that this tv show is amazing except a couple of hiccups but that doesn't matter.

Dogma 95

Very exciting that this episode was an attempt to shoot in Dogma 95 style. Even the director was not credited, as far as I could tell (Claudia Yarmy, or ?). Of course, several Dogma rules were broken, but for film experts it was exciting to see this attempt.

Good

Watching this reminds me of the good days of season 1. Exact same kind of humor which all of us watched the show for in the first place. No political correctness and thats the best.

Work it

It sort of feels like season two may be hitting a bit of a stride, a strong episode in terms of storyline. There were a few laughs and minimal tangents.

Escape from New York
Prismark1016 April 2022
The best episode of the second series so far. It really needed to be like this much earlier on.

Harry finds out about Goliath and discovers that he died. He did left an egg behind.

Right on their tails is Lisa Casper who is ghosting them.

It leads to a altercation between Harry and her on the train back. There was no need for her to lose her head over it.

The stories are still spread over the rest of the cast. Sheriff Mike fares best over his continued enquiries over the Sam Hodges case. As well as getting a stiff arm after an encounter with the over the hill doctor.

The episode made me think that Harry really needs to be the town doctor again. It led to a good balance of sci fi action and comedy.

loosing interest

Not a great story arc, and many of the jokes are the same. Harry does the same speaking in my language gag we've seen in many episodes, the same jokes in how he mangles his delivery of English in exactly the same ways.

The only interesting edge and one that was interesting all through the first series is Harry's unpredictable sinister side, it still surprises and it still has impact and interest. We saw it this week in his fight on the train and it's ultimate conclusion. The down side of that is another (possibly) compelling character goes nowhere though. We've seen a few of those, and yet we keep seeing more of D'arcy than we need, as her story doesn't go anywhere interesting and it's the same gag for her too, over and over.

The show is really going to have to up their game or they'll lose the audience they got from delivering an interesting set up and off beat story telling style. That's not there any more.

Escape from New York.

Warning: Spoilers
The show has moved on from why we were watching it in the first place, with consecutive long segments not involving Harry. Then the plot's just adding another thing to meander around. It's mildly entertaining stuff at best. Ridiculous that Asta remembers and matches the face from the composite drawing which she may have looked at for 2 seconds and irrelevant at the time. The flying donut amusing.
