I would recommend this movie to anyone who was a fan of Betty White. BUT... I would not have paid to see this in the theater had I known it is NOT a new film. A documentary was released in 2018 called "Betty White: The First Lady of Television". This is exactly the same movie as that (which I had already seen). The only difference is a short clip was added of White that was filmed just a few weeks ago and some celebrity tweets/comments were added about her passing. There is probably no more than 5% new material here.

Wonderful Tribute

I loved every minute of this film documenting this remarkable woman who had such an impact in the entertainment industry. Many interviews with those who worked with her over her decades of being on television mainly, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, the Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland series. Many of those interviewed have since passed away and that makes it extra special that those interviews were done before we lost them also. Betty White was a national treasure and because she has been in our living rooms through the magic of those excellent TV series, she feels like a beloved great aunt or grandmother figure. We will always have the Golden Girls whenever we miss her. Highly recommend this documentary!
MONEY SCHEME!

This was literally THE FIRST LADY OF TELEVISION special they did of her that was on Netflix for awhile! Seriously! All they did was add a new clip at the beginning of her, filmed right before she died. Im ashamed of hollywood for doing this. Betty deserved better!

Betty deserved better

Despite the laundry list of celeb appearances, only a handful of B and C list celebrities appeared repeatedly. The field focused almost exclusively on Betty White's career with a casual mention of her devotion and love of animals. If one is making a film celebrating the life of a cultural icon I would have expected FAR MORE about her life off camera, including things that brought her joy. This film makes it appear as though Betty's nearly 100 years of life were only about for-profit work in front of the camera. What a deeply disappointing bookend to the decades long career of a talented, warm-hearted, and authentic human being. The producer should be ashamed of himself.
Love Betty but boring

Save your time and money and definitely don't watch the episode at the end. It's unnecessary and boring. You'll get more out of YouTube then you will from this. Betty deserved much better. Nothing more than a money grab.
