A poor second episode.

I seem to be in the minority, I loved the first episode, I thought it was quite exciting, unfortunately, I thought this second episode took a bit of a nosedive, I thought this one lacked any sense of cohesion, it was just all over the place.

I'll start with the positives, it was dramatic, it did have several moments of tension, I thought the acting was really good, especially from Keeley Hawes, she can do no wrong.

Now for the negatives ...... It's nonsense, it's as far fetched as an episode of The X Files, it makes the adventures of Doctor Who seem reasonable, I just couldn't fathom out why anyone was doing what they were doing, it was disappointing.

I found the flashbacks pretty irritating, and the relationships improbable. They failed to capitalise on the tension that had genuinely been generated. Even the feeling of claustrophobia has somehow diminished.

Of course in 2022 Jason was going to behave in such a way, make your own mind up on that one.

I am so disappointed, I really did enjoy episode one, but this, was just a mess, and where are The Police?

5/10.

Agonised farce.

The story had the potential to be enthralling but a poor script, bad direction & farcical characters rendered the drama very average. I'm surprised Keeley Hawes & fellow well known actors participated in a drama lacking so much punch. I truly didn't care about any of the characters.

After all the hype & advertising from early summer, I expected quality, high drama & lots of twists. Instead we were served a concoction of unreal relationships, unlikely responses, unbelievable naivety & foolish choices. The third episode seemed like the writers got so bored, they couldn't think how to end the series. I hope & pray we don't see Crossfire 2.

Episode 2

The lack of the Police turning up is really annoying. On a resort hotel such as this, there is at least a bad covers band knocking out Every Breath You Take.

Meanwhile Jo still thinks like a policewoman when she has a chance to take out one of the shooters.

As for the rest, they are hiding, looking for people they careless lost or trying to get through to one of the baddies. No wonder the bad guy got very annoyed.

What was meant to be tense and thrilling. Ended up as silly and laughable.

The flashbacks did not help making the whole thing even more confusing.

At this stage. I would have liked to have known more about the reasons for the shooters actions. Surely they must have some cause.
