Not A Very Likable Duo

This murder/kidnapping/pedophile case has a number of twists to it and one really unlikeable father-and-son tandem, both of whom need, literally, to take their meds or they instantly turn psycho.

Unfortunately, the father is an FBI agent. It's amazing how times Hollywood portrays the FBI in a negative light. I question how many agents act this irrational and over-the-the-top. Anyway, he's on a mission tracking down this known pedophile who, it appears, has now taken his kids! Later, we find out his son - one of the kids allegedly kidnapped - has also got mental problems, big-time. His scenes are not fun to watch.

Meanwhile, we get good acting performances from Jorja Fox ("Sara Sidle"), Paul Gilfolye ("Capt. Brass" and others -- in this intense story.

Quite the Family

A woman is gunned down in a grocery store parking lot as she leaves with her three year old daughter. It appears that the little girl has been kidnapped. While the body is being processed, the husband, an out of control FBI agent storms in. He is an irrational mess throughout the entire episode. We find out that he and his son (a young adult) have some serious mental problems. The CSI's have a hard time running their case because the FBI guy is constantly in their way. It's a decent episode with some good acting.

The Pedophile and the FBI Agent

A woman is murdered in the parking lot of a supermarket together with an employee and her daughter is kidnapped. Soon the FBI Agent Daniel Moore breaks into the autopsy room to see the woman, who is his wife Christine Moore, and Dr. Robbins stops him. He discloses to Capt. Brass that the killer and the kidnapper of his daughter is the pedophile Rylan Gauss, who has a beef with him. When he finds that his son Trent Moore is missing, he interferes with the CSI and the LVPD investigation.

"418/427" is another good episode of "CSI". The plot has many twists but is also predictable. FBI Agent Daniel Moore never convinces and his wrong doing is not a surprise for a watchful viewer. My vote is eight.
