After writing a negative review on S2E6, I realized that the hit and run thread might be dragged through the entire season, which I hate. I took a look at a fan wiki and confirmed my suspicion although I was only partially right in my speculation about Jasper. So I skipped to the last episode of S2 with a brief stop at Jessica Lowndes' performance in the episode before that. More on JL later.

I had commented on my admiration for Annie, especially her values, that is until S2. Now after this episode, I'm very happy to see her start well, but I have my doubts as to the whims of the writer gods in maintaining her integrity in coming episodes. I see some positive signs in Navid, Ryan, Silver and Debbie. Most of the other characters seem to continue their moral ambiguity which we have to have at least some of to make the show interesting.

I never watched this series first time around. I became familiar with Jessica Lowndes through Hallmark TV flicks. At first I didn't care for her, but I was immediately drawn to her singing. Later I began to respect both her characters and her singing. All of this with no idea of her history with 90210. To be honest, Ade leaves me ambivalent. I root for Navid, but Ade is back and forth with her choices. It is interesting that Navid and Ade are probably the longest running relationship despite some detours. Still, JL can sing.

I know I missed a lot, but Annie and Naomi friends again?

Have you noticed that so many shows try to bump ratings by using scantily clad young ladies in the early episodes of a season? I thought that effort was too blatant here especially AnnaLynne McCord. Throw in the rape from end of S2.

This makes another extremely volatile subject. I noted in my last review criticism of how the show handled the sexting incident which was a grave injustice to real life incidents. This episode briefly discusses the hurdles a victim faces legally. I hope the show will do more to deal with the real life horrors of it.
