You wanna sleep over?

1. Ung feeds Jiwoong 2. Yeonsu has some sannakji 3. Yeonsu is invited

I dig the backstory of how basically Ung and his family were really nice to Jiwoong. It does justify why despite him secretly liking Yeonsu, he did not interfere with his best friend's love and supported him through thick and thin. But based on his monologues and further observing, it's becoming increasingly clear that he is seeing this documentary as a chance for him - somehow. There wouldn't be any conflict if he was totally not malevolent. I was also slightly confused why Ung was so aggressive when Jiwoong started asking questions or making comments about him and Yeonsu. I didn't think he was out of line based on their history and also even in the moment. Perhaps he took a more comforting role instead of knowing the inside and outs of their relationship.

There were many fantastic interactions here. Yeonsu destroyed Doyul. Her main attack against him was that he lacks emotional intelligence. However in the epilogue, he clearly does not lack it based on how quickly he catches onto people's feelings. I love characters like this. Characters who are one step of others and just above it all.

Character developments are looking good. Except for the obviously comedic roles like the manager and the bar friend, all the other characters are showing a level of depth and emotions. Many subtle emotional expressions throughout this particular episode. However, I don't know how I particularly feel about the internal monologues - they are used frequently when the characters are having complex thoughts about relationships. This is not a great sign because truly great writing doesn't need to use this tactic frequently. However, I will tolerate it because it's cute. I will also tolerate the sudden "You want to sleep over" line from Ung. Comes out of nowhere, totally out of character, but romantic enough that we all just fall for it. Romance is never rational so in some sense, it's ok. We don't need meticulous writing for rom com. The silly moments with exaggerated music, cringe (but comedic) scenes, the love triangles...etc do make me realize that I am watching a K-drama but it's rather well done that I am actually getting quite invested into this show. Good entertainment!
