A fabulous finale answering questions and simultaneously creating challenges for a second season. Some clunky elements, but generally well done with an exciting and entertaining episode.
Season one has been a joy, with stellar central performances from JK Simmons and Sissy Spacek. They portray a retired couple, deeply in love, but prone to bickering in a credible, realistic and relatable way.
At times moderately paced, but always delivering great character and plot development, with minimal expository interludes. There are plot holes, but these are easily forgiven in the context of the rounded whole.
Plaudits to Amazon for taking a risk with something unique and refreshing while avoiding the formulaic. It has paid off and season two is likely to be even better now it is into its stride.
