9 for how it addresses the BLM. 5 for the Mia thing. 7 for the episode overall.
Pluses:
The 2020 and BLM subject matter is perhaps the first real and honest depiction I've seen in a scripted TV series. We all saw people, even people and organizations with a lengthy history of racism and exclusion, rushing to jump on the bandwagon to say "WE SUPPORT BLM." It was vile. It's as genuine and sticking a ribbon on your shirt without know what it's for. And now, as expected, things go back to the way they always do.
Minus.
As the reviewer above said: "Mia is the worst." I don't buy....for a second....her excuse for why she slept with another man. I don't buy that her mother being bipolar is a reason. And I don't think anyone would go back to her after how the breakup was handled. The first half was honest and real. It was just like last year. The second half was terrible.
