This episode is the best!
barbarawbuv16 June 2019
This episode is better than any other episode in the show! I love how Baljeet breaks out of his shell and shows off his badass singing! The episode and band names reminds us the the Beatles when their music is based from the Foo Fighters and Blue Stahli and his song "Ultranumb" Hardcore Punk, Heavy metal and rock! YEAH!

Warning: Spoilers
I hate cartoon songs at times, because they're full of stuff we don't listen to, but Gimme a Grade is the BEST! A mild mannered character gone ANGRY with extreme anger! WOW! I LUV IT!

badass cartoon song! Way better than the rest in other shows!

Baljeet acted so angry instead of relived (which should be an expected reaction from others) to just have fun at a summer rock & roll camp! He literally broke out of his shell and is my favorite character ever since!

mild mannered gone to badass!

I was surprised when Baljeet turned to angry over having to rock out and have fun! I expected a relieved reaction instead of a angry reaction, but that song was the bomb! No other Disney Channel & XD episode can beat this!

Beware the nice ones: A characters breaks out of his shell
kenleyin30 July 2019
Discussed: "Funny how it's the nice ones who turn into badasses when they're pushed too far." Yep, that's Baljeet in this episode. They portrayed him so good. After all, he's an immigrant from India who has an urge to do math all the time. I know how they feel. But that song "Gimme a Grade" is an absolute cartoon song so intense and badass that no other cartoon song can beat it!

An example to come out of one's shell
rnobloom15 July 2019
If people were told to just rock out and have fun, they would be relieved, not angry like Baljeet. At least he finally broke out of his shell; from mild mannered to completely enraged! Once Baljeet was outraged, I literally went "WHAT?!?!?!" in shock. Then, he showed off his badass singing! Maulik Pancholy, you were incredible during that episode!

Mild mannered to fierce!

To be honest, when I saw this episode, I didn't expect Baljeet to become to openly angry. Maulik Pancholy's singing voice at this range was so awesome during the recording for this episode. That LGBT voice actor was so awesome during this moment!

Giving it the highest grade

'Phineas and Ferb' was one of the few Disney Channel shows in the past fifteen years that was watched by me and my siblings, also Disney fans, since its inception and continued to watch completely hooked, the re-runs being holiday highlights. The earlier episodes are better than the later ones, funnier and more creative, but even when the show was not at its best it was better than quite a lot of the shows airing on Disney Channel, which is just not the same anymore and had already gone downhill back then.

"The Baljeatles" and "Vanessassary Roughness" are both fantastic episodes. Especially the former, which is a fan favourite for very good reason, a large part of it being that anything music related always makes things better. Also because it was great to see Baljeet more interesting and that it boasts one of the best songs of the whole show. The latter is enormously entertaining too, with a couple of interest points. From the plot summary one may naturally worry that the episode would be over-stuffed, but "Vanessassary Roughness" avoids that.

Animation is great as usual. Full of rich vibrant colour and the attention to detail in the backgrounds showed a lot of care and effort, the expressions and reactions of the characters are both wacky and nuanced in both episodes (particularly the more urgent moments in "Vanessassary Roughness"). The music has been widely lauded among fans and for very good reason, it is truly amazing with some of the best music for any 'Phineas and Ferb' episode. "Gimme a Grade" is classic 'Phineas and Ferb' through and through.

Loved the writing in particularly "The Baljeatles". In both, it is typically smart while also striking the right balance of hilarious humour and heart-warming emotion. They are always immensely entertaining while also having a lot of heart. The storytelling is full of energy, fun and heart. "The Baljeatles" is a joy for all music lovers, with a charming main plot where the characters are particularly rootable and a typically suitably kooky Doofenschmirtz subplot. "Vanessassary Roughness" is interesting for having more than one character wanting to obtain one thing for different reasons, and also interesting for Phineas and Ferb actually being apart. It never stops being entertaining and it didn't feel over-stuffed despite a lot going on.

Character writing is spot on, with the most striking example being Baljeet in "The Baljeatles". He was never this relatable before or since and seeing him come out of his shell in a surprising and poignant way was inspiring. Doofenschmirtz is as goofy as ever but entertaining and oddly lovable with it. The voice acting is well on par too, Maulik Pancholy was never better as Baljeet than here in "The Baljeatles".

In summary, brilliant. 10/10.

"The Baljeetles" & "Vanessassary Roughness"
alcantaraj-165947 June 2021
"The Baljeetles"

This is probably my favorite episode that centers around Baljeet. The episode is really funny and Baljeet, though unrealistic, is really likable. The song 'Gimme a Grade' is also one of my favorite songs from the series. (10/10)

"Vanessassary Roughness"

A top 20 episode in my opinion. This is perhaps the only episode to have more Ferb that Phineas. He really is a man of action. Despite rarely talking, he, Perry, Vanessa, Stacy, Candace, Baljeet and Buford provide some really funny action scenes while Phineas and Doofenshmirtz are sidelined to hilarious minor roles. Also, 'I'm Me' is one of the series' top 5 songs! (10/10)

terrific episode!
allav-5850417 December 2021
Alright, everybody! It's time to rock and roll, because the Baljeatles are in town, and ready to bring down the house with a smashing performance! This episode's a lot of fun, as it puts Baljeet in a new position he hadn't been in before: a rock and roll concert. Initially, he mistakes it for a geology class, but upon discovering what it really is, he turns frantic and nervous. Luckily, Phineas and Ferb are there to help, and the results, while tough to accomplish at first because of Baljeet's love of math, culminate in a kickass music number with the song "Gimme a Grade". Seeing Baljeet just rock out in such a way is so awesome to see.
