Thanks to Nick and Sam. It's an remarkable short by two talented young filmmakers Nick Hartanto & Sam Roden. Thanks for the pleasure of having me in the title role Mrs Sugitar. It is a physically difficult part. I'm glad I was able to do it. Its based on the true story of Nick's mother and my co star Burt was amazing. It's a joint effort on all parts.

Irene Tsu is a Revelation

An emotional, harrowing short film. It shows with deft skill what a see-saw of struggles a couple, even a couple with deep long love for each other, goes through together when one of them experiences a life changing incident. Bert Matias, an actor I had seen before in small roles is wonderful as the husband forced into the role of caretaker after having been a doctor in his younger years. But Irene Tsu, an actress I've followed all my life, is a true revelation. A good as she has always been, emphasis in her career has usually been on her extraordinary beauty, something she still has today. But this was her best chance, in even a short film, to show that she's always been capable of a depth beyond the esthetic.

Of course, I'm biased. As I said, I've always been a fan of Ms. Tsu's. I've had a crush on her since I was around 7 and just recently finished reading her wonderful biography "A Water Color Dream" so I was really looking forward to this film. I was not disappointed.
