the other

It is a special episode for the reminded old, fundamental truths. A film about faith and sin, about law and people, about hate and expectations, about returns and bad news and acceptance and a tiny sinagogue. An episode about reality behind evidences. So, a lovely pledge for see the other as more than the stranger. The dialogue between priests of the end is very powerful not for the fine illustration of two positions but for admirable clash of enthusiasm and a form of skeptikism not far by many of us.

Good episode, VERY Bad Casting

The Good: The way Mary Magdalene carried herself throughout the episode, the beautiful way that Jesus responds to her....just wonderful to see and brought tears to my eyes.

The Bad: Whoever hired the actor to play David must have not researched the Bible. The actor is small, whiny, unimpressive, and comes across nothing like the way David was described in the Bible. Bad actor and bad acting!

Yet more fiction about the Magdalene
Momaqns14 November 2022
Sloppy "historical " fiction. Mary Magdalene was NOT the woman Jesus saved from stoning. She was a wealthy woman who, in all likelihood, funded Jesus. Mary aka Miriam was a very common name then as now. This whole calumny was begun by some old misogynistic clergyman in the Church. As usual, women have marginalized and denigrated for centuries by the Church. They have done nothing to correct the history of the relationship between Jesus and this noble woman. Mary wrote a gospel, which was unsurprisingly labeled gnostic by those ancient women haters. Read it and be enlightened and enriched. That's just one flaw in this sloppy production.

Not enough fact, more soap opera

Warning: Spoilers
So disappointed in this episode. Most of this episode is fictional and not biblical! Mary did not back slide and Jesus did not meet with John the Baptist. They only met when John baptized Jesus.

I do not understand why they had Mary backslide? It makes this episode like a soap opera and making it sensationalist.

I am hoping that the other episodes stay true to the real story as that is miraculous enough.

Up until now I've enjoyed every episode, it feels like the writer is wishing to make the series last longer, so filling each episode with more and more back story.

The accurate parts are spellbinding and told so well, am hoping he returns to this style going forward.
