Partridge back to his best

The best episode of this series so far... superb acting from Coogan and laughs throughout. Pure, distilled and right on point. Any Partridge is good Partridge. Long may he stay on our screens.

It starts off with a quick Jimmy Savile impression from Partridge and there are references to Queen song titles.

Talking of royalty, in the week when the BBC were in trouble over how a royal interview was secured over a quarter century ago. By a woman who was desperate to talk to the media about how her husband cheated on her. Partridge thinks he can get an interview with Princess Anne.

The best bit was Partridge investigating Chemsex and ended up having a nice chat with a bloke called Clive who is into local radio.

The acting masterclass did not quiet work for me.

Lynn showed her claws when she heard Jennie had split up. She seems to be more assertive in this series. Maybe it is Partridge who might end up being under pressure.

Who's giving this 10? Coogans family?

I've persevered with this shower of shinola till now but no more. The writing is lazy and not funny. Fortunately the acting throughout is fine. Coogan is mostly a solid character actor and usually a joy to watch but this series just makes me cringe. Comedy is dead. Wokeness killed it and Coogan's the main henchmen.
