Two brides at the wedding start this series out with a bang.
cgvsluis1 September 2022
This was an epic Turkish family drama and love story with 31 episodes to the series. There were a lot of peaks and valleys to this show, but at the end of the day... I have to give its show runners a lot of credit for the entertainment value. This show definitely entertains. It also really pulls at your heart strings, because unless you are dead inside...it will make you cry.

There is a fantastic villain in Hande, a woman who wants what she wants and she doesn't care who or what she destroys to get it. She is relentless in her pursuits and it was sickening to see people, especially her father and Yaman enabling her...often through rescuing her in bad situations! I did appreciate Hande's mom waking up to the truth and Yaman's mom knowing it was up to her to do something about it. I really think Hande, the character, was a true sociopath. Great acting on the actress' part as I grew to loath even the mere sight of Hande on screen.

General run down of the plot: Ferit, the second son of a wealthy Antakya family, catches his bride and best man in a compromising position three days before his wedding. The three, Ferit, Hande and Yaman had all grown up together and were best friends. Ferit runs off to Istanbul to get away where he meets Ayse, a free spirited orphan who loves animals. They meet when a distracted Ferit hits a stray dog with his car. Together they get the dog medical attention and then meet again in the coffee shop where Ayse works. Ferit comes up with an idea to bring a girl back from Istanbul to marry and he makes a proposition to Ayse. If she comes back to Antakya and marries him, stays with him for six months and doesn't tell anyone that it is just a game, he will pay her enough money to start her own coffee shop which is her dream. Initially Ayse is offended by the offer and refuses...only to change her mind when she needs money for a legal defense for her friend who finds himself in prison for preventing her rape. This is how the two become partners. The bride Hande is told by Ferit that he will not marry her and that she needs to tell everyone and he even says she can blame him...but instead of doing so, Hande shows up at their wedding in her wedding dress to be married which is why it is so satisfying to see Ferit walk in with his own bride. As you can imagine...a lot of feathers are ruffled, including Ferit's mom who loves Hande and doesn't accept a new bride. But the biggest issue for the series is Hande who becomes this amazingly ruthless villain throughout the series.

There are a lot of strong female characters which was great to see, stories from the past get brought up and then this perpetual danger that Ayse is in thanks to both Hande and Azade.

One of the things that made this series work was the kindness and compassion of Ayse, this is established early on and makes a nice foil for all of the ruthless behavior by both Azade and Hande. It did make it tough to swallow and seem out of character when she suddenly is pursuing divorce and then when she is grieving her child. Terrible things happen to Ayse, and like watching a crash...even though you know it is coming it is very hard to look away, so I cried for her losses and her pain, especially during the times she seemed to be alone.

When things were at there bleakest and she seemed to be behaving out of character, I took a little break from the series...but I am glad I came back to see the end. I could get nit picky with some parts of the ending, I will say that overall I was satisfied.

This series has great footage around Antakya, I will have to add that to my must see list, and there are some great horse scenes particularly at the start of the series.

The series is long at 32-2+ hour episodes, but it is an epic tale with kind of an interesting twist at the beginning. (I liked the initial friendship/partnership between Ferit and Ayse, it was a great foundation for a relationship that builds later.) This is a recommendation for romantics out there...I don't think you will be disappointed, be prepared for an emotional roller coaster.

Decent series, wonderful scenery and setting
mosquitocyn18 August 2021
It started off pretty good with unexpected twists but I lost a bit of interest from episode 5 onwards - getting a bit predictable with all the family drama, jealousy, revenge plots and family secrets. Whilst the cast is good, the chemistry between the two main roles could be better. I wish they give the female lead some career or interest talents and not make it look like another rich guy from powerful reputed family and poor girl situation. I do enjoy the setting and scenery away from Istanbul but that's not enough to keep me interested to continue with the series if it stretches to many episodes.

the good and bad in the show :
sarorita-4256828 December 2021
-It was better before around ep 19 ig or sm it got ruined, all the problems are targeting "aysha" n so unrealistic...like the whole show now revolves around how to make her miserable LMAOOO -the acting is soooo bad, however "azada" is CARRYING the show bru she is iconic i love her.

-"hande" shi is getting out of hand tbh.... -however, the show is sooo exciting i was really addicted to watching it.

Must Watch!
helloeponine25 July 2021
It's been a really long time since I last watched a good turkish series, and I finally found what I've been looking for. This series is so beautiful, it takes me to a whole new world. I absolutely love the story. Ferit is so handsome and Ayse is so precious! They make the most beautiful couple ever. You certainly want to give Kalp Yarasi a try and you'll be addicted to it. I hope the rating will continue to be good coz I can't get enough of AyFer ❤

The Best of Turkey Dizi
diegoaw29 July 2021
It is the best series that Turkey currently has, Turkish brothers, support this series so that they are known around the world, these young actors deserve it because they make every emotion felt in each scene.

Kalp yarasi-

It had a great start, i however started to loose interest by the 6th episode. I then stopped watching for 2 days. But as i continued watching it started to get more exciting. I love how Ferit is his own man and stands up to his family. I love how he is over protective of Aisha. I just hate that he believed all Hande lies. She is really psycho. The acting is good. The scenery beautiful, great acting all round. I hope Ferit and Aisha get their happy ending. I just finished watching episode 18.

Not the best series I watched but watchable.

Started well but writers ruined it.
tempresident7 July 2021
First few episodes - An interesting twist and the beginning of a new love. The main actors Gokhan Alkan & Yagmur Tanrisevsin (she is so beautiful) have such good chemistry and I'm really excited to see their love blossom. This series has a lot of potential and it will be interesting to see the direction in which the writers take this series.

The longer it continues - Why do the writers spoil these characters to such an extend that I don't want to watch anymore? They made a beautiful character, Ayshe, into a deranged person who keeps going back and forth, forcing Ferit to sign divorce papers, then blaming him for going along with her wishes, then loves him again, then fights with him for no reason...it's getting boring. Be consistent with the characters. This series had more potential but the direction the writers take some of these characters is overdoing it. Ayshe has become schizophrenic.

The chemistry between Ayshe and Ferit is not there anymore and it's not entirely the characters' fault...the writers are to blame.

Episode 21 (half way) and I'm done with this series. The writers have ruined this series. I'm now so frustrated with Ayshe that I don't care if they take her heart and lungs and kidneys. Let her walk and get hit over the head. Go to sleep Ferit and get some self-respect...stop begging a brat who is drowning in self-pity. She just likes to make life difficult for everyone and then blame you for it.

It went from my favorite series to one I can stop watching in the middle.

Not interesting anymore.

MUST WATCH DIZI
zaraaiman4 August 2021
Honestly the couple have a really nice chemistry, different than most other series, most of other Turkish series are based on lies and thats how the love develop but with kalp yarasi it different, I love Ayse she is amazing, such a motivating character.

watchable
lsoncek27 October 2021
The plot is ok.

The series is watchable and could be much better if it wouldnt be for the main protagonist - ayshe. Unfortunatly with al the good actresses taht turkey has they have chosen the worst one to play Ayshe. Her acting is very poor actually unwatchable, she has always the same strange face or she is sad or happy, it makes u cringe and is impossible to love her. However the rest specially the hande is acting very good.

Actually to make this series betterwould be better to get ayshe of the scene, lets say complicated child birth and unfortunate death and than lets make ferit know a better actress aft all his crying at her grave. Unfortunately ayshe is bringing the show down.

Starts out great but loses it's charm
poopyandfamily2 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The first three episodes were great to watch even though there were tiny plot holes. By episode four however ayshe's character starts acting ridiculously. She keeps secrets from ferit and pushes him away when ever he tries to get close to her. She is literally the most unlikable female protagonist I have ever seen.

This ruins the romance of the story which frankly speaking is the main attraction of this show. Other wise we have all seen controlling mother in laws and psychotic exes at least a hundred times in other dramas. Also most of the people who have given it high ratings are those who haven't seen all of the episodes.

Its amazing!!
hafaqschool16 August 2021
This show is really really good, and the rating should go up. The vibe and everything slightly different. Although some do not agree with some of the character but i personally think the extra characters add a touch to interesting the plot, we should all give this show a chance, so if you live in turkey please watch this show.

Best drama at the moment!
cj-2936629 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I just happened to find this series that has caught my interest to watch because of such inspirational characters of the leading protagonist couple and the true brotherhood loving and caring. Unfortunately, psychopaths and ill-mannered people exist in all societies. I wish the writers give the inspirational series with a happy ending if it stretches into many episodes.

It's better an inspirational short series than a long and sad drama. I believe that we all need a lifting entertainment series during our tough time in the world right now.

It's my first time watching Gokhan Alkan and Yagmur Tanrisevsin. I do like their chemistry on the screen and add in my favorite Turkish actors and actresses list. Besides that, what beautiful scenery of Antakya scenery!

At this moment, only this series keeps me exciting to watch the next episode on the air. I hope it turns out a good series!

Thank you all the team of Kalp Yarasi!!!

Only for AYFER
mongiahammouda25 January 2022
1. There are a lot of mistakes in the editing and scene transition and it looks like they never review the episode before the broadcast.

2. The script lines are very superficial compared to the beginning, we are even wondering if the first 13 episodes were written by the current screenwriters.

3. Bad promotions, focus more on side characters or overused ones, the audience lost the excitement to the dizi.

4. AYFER scenes become more and more short and empty (most of the time scenes are cutted), their chemistry is wasted, we feel like there is no more intimacy between them even if we compare them with (yaman, hande). Their relationship looks more like friends, brother/sister rather than a beloved couple. So we would like to know why they behave like this since episode 14 ? Why was the spark between them lost ? Is it a scenario issue or conflict between Gokhan and Yagmur reflected on screen ?

The only one reason for continuing watching this dizi is the chemistry of AYFER and to be honest there are alot of doubts around some behavior and we are quite surprised how the production company OR director OR screenwriter could waste such chemistry.

I'm loving the story of Ferit and Ayse so far. One of the main reasons I started watching this show was because of the cast and they haven't disappointed me yet. You'll definitely get caught up in the romance and drama of this show.

Cheap soap milking it
biaz-7326116 February 2022
The plot is very weak, characters are unreasonably stiff and events are not convincing.

The context is so contradicting, while it revolves around the life of a very conservative matron of the wealthiest family in town, nothing really relates to her values, not the way she looks, not the way she plans and runs her town & family. A visual copy of Madeleine Stowe in revenge, and in character too which keeps nagging you along the way because one can't stop from comparing both characters and how the latter inspired the former in the story writing. However, Senay Gürler does a very good job and actually she's breathtaking but her talent is wasted.

The unreasonably sick characters of Hande & Yaman are destructive to the value of their role.

The show remains interesting for a very few episodes but it gets annoying, boring, lingers on stupid details, unrealistic and provocative just to keep you at the edge of your seat but for a very marginal detail.

But the cast is excellent, they're playing well and they deliver well, and you'd live with most of the characters each in their conflict or misery, but the main weakness of the series is simply the story. There's the exceptional Meltem Gülenç & Mahir Günsiray needless to mention many young talents that impress.

Could be better
yongkirry14 September 2021
The plot is somehow interesting but unfortunately the acting is not the best..we can forgive the main male actor as he is very handsome (even without half open shirt would be still handsome, but oh well), but the main female actoress, unfortunately she is still acting badly as in other series..its a pity.. but however till now(episode 8) is watchable, hopefully wont get wars.

Okay
IThinkThat4 March 2022
Skipped a lott!! But overall pleasant. I wanted another ending but i guess it was okay. The end kept dragging and the plot twists were kinda off , they added family members and stuff , by the end the plot was just a mess and i lost all interest. But adding an extra point for the cast.

Very average.
reen_carl23 May 2022
I've watched many, many Turkish dizis and am finding this one so far to be predictable ...the phony relationship/marriage, many families living together in the same house, the disapproval from parents, the domineering mother, the beautiful spiteful ex girlfriend and ex lover, the deceitful friend...all the hallmarks of a Turkish series. The chemistry between the two leads is not exactly sizzling. I loved Gökhan in Kalp Atisi but I'm finding in this series, even his voice is irritating. I'm nearly at the end of episode 5, so hopefully it will become more compelling or I will be fast forwarding many scenes.

THE BEST!!!
linajazan19 October 2021
He truth is that this couple has stolen our hearts, this story is really beautiful, Ferit has turned out to be that man that we all would like to find 😜 I'm sorry, but that's the way it is, it is difficult to find someone so human, so honest, so sensitive, so charming and who also loves Ayse above traditions, social differences and everything. On January 10 we will see that continuation of the story, without Adnan, with Azade who is still a genius and figure, with the grandfather who does not cease in his efforts to destroy everything, with Mirza who is in love and jealous, with Yaman who is a type without values, envy has corrupted him to the maximum and with Hande an atrocious character, only loves wealth, position and herself, she has shown that she can kill to get what she wants. 💔💔 A chapter of klennex awaits us, I think, but we have #ayfer with her love to prove everything, nothing can destroy that love anymore.

Like most of Turkish series The first episodes were great but later on the writers ruined it.

The leading actor was good but the actress needs to work a lot more on her performance; soundtrack is very nice and suitable to the series.

Overall it's considered to be not that bad.
