Çati Kati Ask (2020)
Started off great
A great cast, and script at the beginning, many of whom I have seen in other series. It started off beautifully, many eccentric , funny characters, a lovely, quirky family, the feel of a small , caring suburb where everyone knows each other and helps each other and I believed this was going to be the next Erkenci Kus or Kiralik Ask. By the end of Episode 7 and going into Episode 8 I realised , oh , how very wrong I was!!! The script deteriorated and the lies and the attempt at slapstick comedy started to fall on its face, but it was still watchable at that stage. When Aysen left it fell completely to pieces. Lovely little Aysen was replaced by loud mouthed , abrasive, unlikable (to me anyway) Sirin . Episodes 14, 15 and 16 were awful , like watching a different series and the ending was very rushed.
Seven Ne Yapmaz (2017)
Started off well
This series started off really well, it was something different to most of the run of the mill Turkish RomComs out there. Yusuf Cim is handsome and charismatic as Ozan and the actress who played the lead female is sweet and cute as Nazli/Gizem however I never really felt that intense chemistry between them that is necessary for a highly successful RomCom, they seemed mismatched to me. In saying that the side characters were entertaining and I enjoyed it till about Episode 8, when the storyline seemed to go from the sublime to the ridiculous. Nazli became idiotic, Ozan became a stalker, Recep became an angry Psycho, Arzu became a liar, hiding the fact she was working as a waitress. I did finish it, but was glad when it was finished and I can understand why it only lasted 11 episodes!

A Masterpiece
This series is one of the best, if not THE best Turkish Mafia dizis ever. It is like a cross between the series Sopranos and the Godfather movies Turkish style. It has a great cast of actors who are at the top of their game, delivering an amazing script of drama , humour, romance, poignancy. If I see any of the actors appearing in another show, I know I'm going to watch it. It has one of the best soundtracks I have heard on Turkish TV and I often play songs from the series in my spare time. I was really sad when this series finished. It is a big watch at 132 , 2 hour plus episodes but well worth it!
Tatli Intikam (2016)
So so
With the amazing cast this series had it should've been a 10/10, I have seen many of the actors in other dizis. The series was let down by poor script writing and gaps in the plot. It should've finished a few episodes sooner than it did but for whatever reason the writers decided to introduce new characters without adequately explaining what happened to previous characters and the story of Sinan's disappearance is very vague and waffly. However , in saying that the series is watchable and the leading cast very easy on the eye.
Alev Alev (2020)
A series with a strong message
A great series about problems women face when dealing with rich, well connected, corrupt , narcissistic men and how the women gain strength by friendship and sticking together to overcome their hurdles. ( I would imagine the series could apply to men dealing with narcissistic women too) . Also the series promotes that there are many good men who are not motivated by greed and power and subjugating women, rather assisting the women to fight their foes.
Her Yerde Sen (2019)
Lovely Rom Com
Really enjoyed this, I like to watch a RomCom episode in between episodes of a heavy drama. I'm sad I'm on the last episode of this series. The lead actors are gorgeous and the support cast are great too. The series is a nice size too, 23 Episodes , so you are not watching the same romantic plot going wrong over and over again. Looking for my next RomCom adventure now!
Kalp Yarasi (2021)
Very average.
I've watched many, many Turkish dizis and am finding this one so far to be predictable ...the phony relationship/marriage, many families living together in the same house, the disapproval from parents, the domineering mother, the beautiful spiteful ex girlfriend and ex lover, the deceitful friend...all the hallmarks of a Turkish series. The chemistry between the two leads is not exactly sizzling. I loved Gökhan in Kalp Atisi but I'm finding in this series, even his voice is irritating. I'm nearly at the end of episode 5, so hopefully it will become more compelling or I will be fast forwarding many scenes.
