"Breaking Bad" is coming to an end next year, but AMC's already looking for another narcotics-centric series to fill the twitchy, strung-out void. According to Deadline, the network's developing "Grass Valley," a series focused on a pair of brothers involved in pot growing in Ukiah in California's Mendocino County, the first target for the DEA when they begin an attack on the state's medical marijuana industry. Former "Sons of Anarchy" star Taylor Sheridan (who played Deputy Chief David Hale) has been brought on as a writer -- the actor also recently sold a not entirely dissimilar feature script, "Comancheria," for Peter Berg to possibly direct, about two brothers who plan a bank-robbing spree to save their family farm. Hey, with "Weeds" also coming to an end after this current season, there's not even much competition in the scripted cannabis-industry show niche. Back in May, AMC ordered...

It was just a couple of weeks ago that eagle eyed tabloid types spotted model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely flying in to meet director George Miller, and it looks like that conversation went well, as she's set to star in yet another blockbuster after Michael Bay debuted her in "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon."
Deadline confirms that the actress has joined "Fury Road" where she'll be hanging out with Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and fellow supermodel Abby Lee Kershaw on the franchise reboot/sequel/continuation/whatever. Exact plot details are still under wraps, but the film has been said to be the start of a potential new trilogy. Huntington-Whitely will be taking a role alongside Kershaw as one of the Five Wives, a convoy of women who are apparently being chased by the bad guys in the movie before Bronson/Bane presumably steps in to save the day.

Ray Richmond contributes to Deadline’s TV coverage. When IFC and Sundance Channel president Evan Shapiro departed his post in April, the forthcoming IFC original comedy Bullet In The Face lost its biggest champion. And champions are exactly what a show like Bullet needs considering that the broad, over-the-top half-hour may be the most violent comedy in television history. According to sources, when IFC execs screened the six-episode series, there was shock and nervousness in the room. And now the controversial Bullet, which was not mentioned during IFC’s upfront presentation in March, is being scheduled in a very odd pattern: three episodes back-to-back on two consecutive nights, August 16 and August 17, from 10 Pm-11:30 Pm. The uncertainty of what to do with Bullet In The Face is understandable. While its first three screened episodes show it to be uproarious and twisted, it’s also rife with cinematic-level violence and wildly politically incorrect imagery.

Demi Moore has left the cast of Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's Lovelace, a biopic about Deep Throat porn star-turned-anti-porn Born-Again Christian Linda Lovelace that began shooting in Los Angeles last December. But you lose one, you win one. Moore has exited just as Chloë Sevigny has joined the Lovelace ensemble. According to Deadline.com, Moore, who was to have a small role as radical anti-porn feminist Gloria Steinem, exited Lovelace "because of the stresses in her life right now" that have forced her "to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health." Also as per Deadline, Sevigny has joined Lovelace to play "a feminist journalist assigned to write a story about Lovelace." Now, at this stage it remains unclear whether this "feminist journalist" is Steinem herself. Reports vary on the matter. Sevigny is best known for three roles: her Oscar-nominated performance as Hilary Swank...

We don't want to get too "Who Do You Think you Are?" on y'all, but according to Deadline, Emma Roberts and "Submarine's" Craig Roberts have both just signed on to the upcoming drama "I Am My Family Secret."
Coincidence?!
Okay, actually, it is a coincidence, because as far as anybody knows, the two young stars aren't actually related (sorry, Hollywood genealogy buffs). But now they're going to be linked in a professional sense at least, as Emma Roberts reunites with her "Lymelife" director Derick Martini for what is described as a film about "two brothers, wildly different, who discover their parents have been hiding a startling and life-altering secret from them for over two decades."
Of course, we're pretty sure Emma won't be playing one of those brothers, but we have the perfect idea for who should play the parents: Julia Roberts and Eric Roberts.
Hey, if you've got a good theme going,...

For a while, it seemed that, of the two planned biopics about the late 1970's porn star Linda Lovelace, the Amanda Seyfried-starring Lovelace was getting the most traction. It recently added four actors to its cast and started production last month. Now it looks like the other Lovelace biopic, Inferno: a Linda Lovelace Story starring Malin Akerman (Watchmen) in the lead role, is finally putting together its cast as well.
So let's step back for a moment for Lovelace, which has also announced some new cast members. Deadline reports that Demi Moore, Eric Roberts and Adam Brody have all joined the cast. Moore will play feminist author Gloria Steinem, while Roberts is playing lie detector expert Nat Laurendi and Brody is playing Lovelace's Deep Throat co-star Harry Reems.

Lovelace, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's Linda Lovelace biopic starring Amanda Seyfried, has added some more star power to its ranks, thereby ramping up its lead over Matthew Wilder's Lovelace flick, Inferno, in the "classy" competition.
According to Deadline, Lovelace has recently added Eric Roberts as lie detector expert Nat Laurendi, Adam Brody as Deep Throat co-star Harry Reems, and Demi Moore as feminist icon Gloria Steinem (I can't wait to see that).
Of the two competing films about the ill-fated 1970s porn star, Lovelace boasts the more impressive cast. Besides Seyfried as the title character and the new big names, the film also features Hank Azaria as Deep Throat director Gerard Damiano, James Franco as Hugh Hefner and Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace's abusive first husband, Chuck Traynor.
Also aboard this off-color trip to the '70s are Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone, Robert Patrick, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth and Juno Temple.

[1] Matthew Wilder's Inferno was the Linda Lovelace biopic we heard about first, but it seems like Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's Lovelace is the one that's moving full speed right now. Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard were cast [2] as the titular porn star and her husband Chuck Traynor in early November, with Sharon Stone signing on [3] to play Lovelace's mother just a couple of weeks later. Then last month, Wes Bentley, Juno Temple, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, and James Franco all [4] boarded [5] the picture as well. Now Demi Moore, Adam Brody, and Eric Roberts have become the latest to join the drama, which is based on Eric Danville's book The Complete Linda Lovelace. More details after the jump. Lovelace follows the life of the adult film actress, who got into the business as a young woman when she met Traynor, a pornographer, and...

Grab a pen. I'll keep this simple: Returning for the Expendables sequel are Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews. Re-joining the team in a much larger fashion will be action mega-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. (source: Deadline) Now he have word that Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Scott Adkins have also been invited to the party! (source: Moviehole) And the Expendables 2 IMDb page lists Peter Weller as a rumor too! That's freakin' Robocop! So who's not returning? Eric Roberts and Randy Savage (for obvious reasons), as well as Jet Li, which is probably for the best. These are "gun" movies, and Jet Li works best with his own fists. So who did they...

With production set to begin next month on the Lionsgate sequel, Deadline is reporting that Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are set to return for The Expendables 2 in expanded "subtantial" roles. Set to be directed by Simon West, the follow-up to the 2010 hit is currently pulling together its action hero cast with Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross at the base. As of now, no other actors have been confirmed, but many of the original film's cast are likely. Co-written and directed by Stallone, The Expendables also starred Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas, Giselle Itie, Charisma Carpenter, Gary Daniels, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke. Willis is currently shooting G.I. Joe 2 and, after The...
