After Rhys' partial confession, Shelley is on the verge of breaking and ends up using the mostly innocent Dani and entirely innocent Max as emotional punch bags.Curiously, Angie is even more on edge, blurting out the truth to Dylan(although the moment is undermined by some rather bizarre camera trickery)and losing it with Rhys. The final scene of Shelley hearing the truth gets some more unfortunate trickery added to it but is otherwise superb.
Elsewhere, Jesse finds his actions having consequences as he is charged by the police, prompting Hayley to lie for him.Noah is quick to stick the boot in but the quiet scene of Flynn pointing out a few problems has more impact. And some more hints about the intriguing Tara and what she may be hiding add up to a decent episode.
