This makes Salvador Dali seem normal.

Hobbo is still convinced that Nelly is his mother, he is desperate to find out, and comes up with a plan. Meanwhile Howard has a plan to convince Marina of his heroism, and Barry has a new suit.

I've watched some surreal episodes, but this one seems to forget reality, and venture into a world of melted clocks, where everyday reality is gone.

First off, you need a wee bit of reality, and that comes from Trevor Bannister, I like that he's cemented as a regular, lots of charisma, he's funny. It was good also to see Auntie back on form.

You can't help but laugh at Howard on the sofa, bonkers, that sequence did make me laugh. It's just insanely daft, it goes beyond daft, it's Last of The Summer Wine, so just sit back and enjoy.

Big tyre .... We've seen that before, many years back.

Zany, 6/10.

Where is the Shadow's mum?

Hobbo wants to get to know the woman who he thinks might be his mother, Nelly is not having any of it and lumps him with her handbag.

Something Entwistle reminds him of later on.

Hobbo not to be deterred, he hooks up Howard with a secret microphone to listen in on Nelly talking to Pearl and Hobbo hopes to get confirmation.

Meanwhile Howard surprises everyone by claiming he will row the Atlantic singled handed. He hopes to go on Tuesday but moves it forward a day later when he is told that it will rain on Tuesday.

I actually found Howard mildly funny in this episode. More proof though that Hobbo is just Foggy lite. He was known as Ace to his friends but to his enemies he was the Shadow.

I doubt Ivy calls Hobbo the Shadow but he has made her his enemy by criticising the cafe. She nailed his tie to the wall.
