Update, 2:53 Pm: United Talent Agency and Donald Faison have settled their dispute over $73,000 in unpaid commissions. The former Scrubs actor supposedly had no idea that he owed his former agency the funds until UTA filed suit against him in La Superior Court on May 9, sources tell me. The money was from part of Faison’s run on the NBC and later ABC comedy plus the $60,000 fee he received from The Law pilot back in 2010. After being informed about the case, Faison contacted UTA yesterday and paid up the full amount immediately. Unsurprisingly, the actor also fired his business manager over the matter. UTA will withdraw its seven claim complaint against Faison next week, I’m told. Previously; Thursday Pm: UTA wants ex-client Donald Faison to pay up. Seeking $73,000 in damages, the agency today filed a seven claim complaint (read it here) in La Superior Court against the former Scrubs actor for unpaid commissions.

Donald Faison made nearly $1 Million for the final season of "Scrubs" ... but screwed over the people who negotiated that paycheck, this according to a new lawsuit obtained by TMZ. Faison is being sued by United Talent Agency -- which claims they got Faison his job on "Scrubs" back in 2001 ... and convinced producers to pay him $75,356 per episode. But according to the suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Faison -- who played Turk on...

Deep End (15)
(Jerzy Skolimowski, 1970, UK) John Moulder-Brown, Jane Asher. 92 mins
Where has this movie been for the past 40 years? It's as fresh and stylish a snapshot of late-60s Britain as we've ever seen, and a twisted coming-of-ager to boot. New kid Moulder-Brown wades into the depths of adulthood at the public bathhouse, and develops an unhealthy obsession with his worldlier colleague. The acting is natural, the soundtrack groovy (Can, Cat Stevens) and the visuals bold.
Hanna (12A)
(Joe Wright, 2011, Us/UK/Ger) Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett, Eric Bana. 111 mins
A novel fusion of Bourne and The Wizard Of Oz, this thriller packs some visual punches (aided by a Chemical Brothers score) and trowels on the symbolism. Blanchett relishes her she-wolf role, hunting little teen assassin Ronan across Europe.
13 Assassins (15)
(Takashi Miike, 2010, Jap/UK) Kôji Yakusho, Takayuki Yamada, Yûsuke Iseya. 125 mins

In the latest round of pilot castings, newcomer Ben Rappaport has landed the lead on the NBC comedy "Outsourced," "Scrubs" alum Donald Faison has joined CBS' comedy "The Odds," Autumn Reeser has been cast in ABC's drama "No Ordinary Family," Todd Stashwick has been added to ABC's untitled Dana Gould comedy at ABC, and Natalie Martinez has come aboard ABC's drama "187 Detroit."
"Outsourced," from Ums, is an office comedy about a recently demoted manager (Rappaport) at a novelties company who is shipped to India to manage a ragtag group of customer-service reps.
"Odds," from Wbtv, is a buddy-cop show set in Las Vegas, where the cops are as outrageous as the crimes they solve. Faison will play Tyler, the new lead homicide detective who took over for the recently demoted Wade (Sullivan Stapleton).
Faison, who last season co-starred in another cop comedy pilot, ABC's "The Law," is repped by UTA and Rigberg Entertainment.

We just discovered that comedian Cedric The Entertainer went back into the lab to get himself back on television as he was able to get ABC to green-light another show for this upcoming fall season. This new show will hopefully get further than his last show that ABC picked titled The Law. That show- which never aired- starred Donald Faison and revolved around reserve police officers for the Lapd who balanced their full-time off-duty lives with the excitement of being weekend cops.
But this new untitled show will feature Ced as a retired baseball player-turned-radio host forced to re-evaluate the type of father he has been when his son and 6-year-old granddaughter re-enter his life. So far there are no names attached to the pilot as it’s in the early stages but more info will be released soon.

After adding five new scripted series during the strike-impacted 2008-09 season, ABC is back in a reboot mode, ordering 10 new series -- six dramas and four comedies -- and keeping several more pilots for midseason consideration.
ABC's high concept-heavy drama slate include two new crime dramas -- the Bruckheimer-produced amateur sleuths show "The Forgotten" and murder mystery "Happy Town," from the creative team behind "October Road"; legal drama, "The Deep End"; as well as two 1980s adaptations, "Eastwick," based in the movie with Jack Nicholson and "V," based on the NBC miniseries.
In preparation for the upcoming exit of "Lost," ABC is betting heavily on action drama "Flash Forward" as its successor. "Flash," which already was promoted on "Lost" this season, is expected to launch in the fall, filling in for the Emmy-winning island mystery drama while it's on hiatus.
ABC's drama picks feature a first and an unbroken streak.

It's down to the wire for the pilots vying for a slot on the broadcast networks' schedule for next season.
At ABC, in addition to the already picked-up drama "Flash Forward" and comedy "Modern Family," dramas "The Forgotten," "Happy Town" and "Eastwick" are going very strong, with "Empire State" and "Inside the Box" in contention. "V" remains a possibility for midseason.
On the comedy side, "Cougar Town" and the Cedric the Entertainer starrer "The Law," which is staffing unofficially, look solid, with "The Middle" and "Romantically Challenged" in the mix.
At Fox -- which also already picked up a new drama and comedy series, "Human Target" and "Sons of Tucson," respectively -- the comedy "Brothers" is hot, with support for drama "Past Life" said to be split among the network's top echelon.
Meanwhile, comedy "Ab Fab" has been passed on, joining "Two Dollar Beer" and "Eva Adams."
At the CW, "Melrose Place" and "Vampire Diaries" are considered a lock, with modeling drama "Beautiful Life," "Life Unexpected" (formerly "Light Years") and bubble freshman "Privileged" battling it out for the third slot. The "Gossip Girl" spinoff in consideration for midseason.

As we reported several months ago, Cedric The Entertainer is in a new pilot for ABC comedy titled The Law. Unlike what we reported then, it seems that ABC has given Cedric’s new show a green light to be broadcast this fall, unlike Cedric’s last show he shot for the network in which he top-lined a multicamera family comedy pilot that didn't go forward.
We can also report that actor Donald Faison has joined Cedric on the show. Cedric the Entertainer is also executive producer of the show.
The show revolves around reserve police officers for the Lapd who balance their full-time off-duty lives with the excitement of being weekend cops.

ABC has officially picked up drama "Flash Forward."
The show, which already is being promoted on the network, received a 13-episode order Friday night.
Based on Robert J. Sawyer's novel, the Joseph Fiennes-starring series chronicles the aftermath of a global event in which everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds and has mysterious visions of six months into the future.
David Goyer and Brannon Braga co-wrote the pilot for "Flash," which Goyer directed.
Both will exec produce the series, but because of his commitment to Fox's "24," where he is an exec producer, Braga won't be involved full time on "Flash."
"Eli Stone" co-creator/exec producer Marc Guggenheim has come on board as exec producer and will run the series with Goyer.
Also exec producing are Jessika Goyer, Vince Gerardis and Ralph Vicinanza.
ABC has been the most aggressive among the broadcast networks, handing out early series pickups to its strongest pilots.

While NBC is set to unveil its new fall series to advertisers Monday, the other broadcast networks will start screening pilots this week.
Several pilots head into the screenings with a considerable amount of buzz.
At ABC, "Flash Forward" is moving fast-forward to the fall schedule as the network kicked off an elaborate marketing campaign for the show last week during the 100th episode of "Lost."
Also hot at the network are the drama "Eastwick" -- based on the 1987 feature "The Witches of Eastwick" -- the mystery "Happy Town" and the Dave Hemingson legal project, with the Romeo and Juliet-flavored "Empire State," alien invasion-themed "V" and performing-arts school-set "Limelight" also in contention.
On the comedy side, the mockumentary "My American Family," the Courteney Cox starrer "Cougar Town" and the untitled Ricky Blitt project have strong buzz, and three other starring vehicles -- Lauren Graham's "The Bridget Show," Kelsey Grammer...
