''I fought for the likes of him, but I lost!''
Rabical-916 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The third 'Naked Video' episode opens with a 'Dirty Harry' spoof in which Harry says he relies on his Colt. 44 Magnum revolver to get rid of all his problems. ''I just pull the trigger and blow them away!'' he says menacingly. Then a white coated doctor appears before him and tells him: ''That's pretty tough, Harry, but there is easier ways to getting rid of piles these days!''.

On the news desk, an item reads ''Mrs. Thatcher formally inaugurates work on the new Channel Tunnell!''. We then see footage of a figure being catapulted into a stream!

An 'Eastenders' spoof sees the writer of said soap mulling over in rehearsals the escapades of Leslie Grantham ( played here by Tony Roper ) the previous week. ''Last week you beat up an O. A. P, got an underage schoolgirl pregnant and attempted to kiss the landlord of your local pub, starting a brawl that left 20 people dead and a further 68 in hospital!''. Grantham smiles proudly, until the writer warns him he will be written out the soap unless he cleans up his private life!

'Rab C. Nesbitt' appears this week attempting to gain benefit from the D. W. P. When the clerk refuses, Rab loses his cool and ends up insulting the man, then has the nerve to ask him for his bus fare home!

A 'Rambo' style figure is seen loading himself up with back packs, rifles and hand grenades whilst all the time muttering inaudibly about getting revenge. However, when he tries to move, he ends up falling to the ground under all the weight he has piled onto himself!

One sketch which no one would dare make now ( especially after all the fracas over the death of criminal and drug addict George Floyd ) sees a black couple in bed being unable to sleep due to the sound of riots outside as well as the sound of someone creeping about their house. The husband gets up to investigate and informs his wife that there is burglars in the house, the wife replies: ''Thank god, I thought it was the police!''.

Siadwell this week tells us of how he has got himself a girlfriend by the name of Gravel, who is something of a tomboy. ''I had a dream about her the other night, and I fainted in my sleep!''

A very funny 'James Bond' spoof sees the much missed Andy Gray as Sean Connery attempting to chat up a young girl, only to be rebuffed. A dejected Sean then uses his toupee to wipe away his tears. Andy's take off of the late '007' star was hilarious. Sean Connery in my opinion never could act!

A sketch entitled 'Woman At Ironing Board' sees Elaine C. Smith as a dowdy middle aged woman delivering a monologue about her husband. ''I wish my man could be like Blake Carrington. I can't see Blake breaking wind in bed then forcing your head under the quilt to smell it!''. This character, created by Ian Pattison, would later be named 'Mary Nesbitt', who would later become the wife of 'Rab C. Nesbitt'. It is not until the final episode of this series we see them together.

The episode ends with a musical item sung by Elaine C. Smith entitled 'When Little Things Mean A Lot', which sees a friendly game of trivial pursuits among friends turn into a violent argument!

Very funny episode, though on the downside, Gregor Fisher does not get as much screen time as he should have. Quite a huge list of scriptwriters are involved in this edition ( one of which being Harry Enfield! ), which may go someway to describing the high quality of many of the sketches.

Funniest sketch - it would have to be the 'Eastenders' spoof. Anyone who remembers the late Leslie Grantham's track record of off-screen misdemeanors will no doubt find this funny.
