So glad to see Rose Matafeo finally get a lead role after her great work on Funny Girls and Squinters. She shined here, and while there is a lot of The Mindy Project in this show, there's some originality amidst a similar premise.

Funny and looking forward to watching the rest of the season.

The first episode gives this a Notting Hill vibe.

Jessie (Rose Matafeo) a millennial goes reluctantly out to a New Years Eve party with her flatmate, Kate.

Jessie ends up meeting Tom (Nikesh Patel) and they have a one night stand.

Only to discover the next morning that Tom Kapoor is a film star.

The first episode had an interesting premise but falls a little flat. I mean Jessie works in a cinema and she did not know who Tom is. We do get to find out that she is not into arty movies but Tom seems to be an action star.

At least Tom the movie star seems to be a nice guy here. Jessie is garrulous but there seemed to be little chemistry between the main characters in this episode.
