Will and Geordie look into a strange announcement made at a christening, Leonard receives an uncomfortable letter.
So before I begin, I'll have to start by saying, I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a very watchable piece of TV, you have to appreciate that it's the 1950's, but seen through the eyes of someone in 2021. This highlights the case perfectly, society was bit the liberal sweet society painted here, attitudes towards adoption and being gay, I'm not sure they're well represented here, however...
It is a piece of TV, and for that, I did enjoy it, two particularly good stories running side by side, it makes a change for us to see a fanatical dad from the time. I had expected Leonard to receive a communication later in the series, I'm sure the story has a lot more legs.
Miles Jupp is always great value, Christina Cole was woefully underused. Have to say I adored the character of Tamara, she's going to be fun.
Overall, watchable make believe, 8/10.
