The show is so crazy over-the-top it's actually compelling and fun to watch .

Big Sky 2020 T.V. show is over- the - top ! My eyes are rolling so far in the back of my head I'm giving myself vertigo. But still I find myself enjoying this madness of television !! I mean it's rather brilliant how The Writers come up with this insanity. And I am loving them for it .....

We have a politically incorrect psycho sheriff John Carroll Lynch (who has definitely seen the film "Deliverance" more than once) the way he uses his bow and arrows.

A truck stop hooker Jesse James Keitel (who looks like he/she? dropped in from the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show) rocking one hell of a tenor/alto? voice.

Two Super Model Private Investigators Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury . Who gave us one hell of an epic cat fight scene love triangle thingamajigs.

We have two sisters one is a walking encyclopedia Jade Pettyjohn , the other one Natalie Alyn Lind is doing her best to be a Veronica Lake look alike and doing a fine job of it. They are both good actors to boot.

A mother and son duo Brian Geraghty , Valerie Mahaffey inspired right out of Hitchcock's Psycho. Norma Bates (Mother) was a domineering mother who emotionally abused her only son, Norman.

Now there is a plot and story in here some where. But I really don't care all that much what it is. The show is so crazy over-the-top it's actually compelling and fun to watch . I am enjoying this ride so far . Hopefully it will stay bat- s h i t crazy and true to its establish form up to this juncture.

They may have kidnapped the wrong girls...

It's been a few years since I literally was out of breath after watching an hour of network television, but this episode was like a marathon on acid.

I still believe Jerrie to be one of the most interesting characters in a long time. Kudos to Jesse James Keitel in this role and to the writers in their ability so far to make a character who could have easily lapsed into one note and have composed a symphony.

As the weeks pass, I find myself eagerly awaiting each new episode. Good show.

Jade Pettyjohn made this episode
kxhzrqs24 March 2024
This episode was ok, but in the end made better by Jade! She killed this episode! The rest of the episode felt a little slow, despite the excellent acting from the rest of the cast. The actor playing the trooper was a menace and the trucker an innocent yet frightening character. The mother of the trucker makes my skin crawl a bit, which speaks highly of the actress. I stepped into the series in season 3 because of Jensen Ackles and was drawn into the rest of the seasons because of the great writing, suspense and acting. Also, kudos to the casting directors, they have done an amazing job. Sad it's no longer airing.

Disappointingly Stupid

Warning: Spoilers
The teen age walking Wikipedia escapes the container without an inkling of a plan, and doesn't first check the container door to release the others. Then after checking the wooden hatch and finding it locked, proceeds to try and chip out the concrete floor to access a drainage pipe.

Who writes this stuff?

1: check the container door 2: if locked - look for some way to break the lock. FFS - it's a work shed - there must be tools. 3: Aged wooden trap door will be easier to break out of than busting concrete. The shovel would have been a great lever for prying the hasp. The rotten wood that eventually did break would have been the more obvious place to start if escaping via drain. 4: A sheriff's deputy with a crossbow should have set off alarm bells and sent her running - screw conversation.

You create a smart, knowledgeable girl then make her behave stupidly - Why?!

A good show starting to completely fall apart

Warning: Spoilers
STOP THE WOKE NONSENSE. It is getting so out of control, and it destroys every show, every movie. Why ruin a decent, interesting action show with the virtue signaling, and insisting on bashing and hating on half the country. Progressives are the hateful bigots. Stop kidding yourselves.

Also the show has gotten completely ridiculous. Why didn't she even try to free her sister and the other mentally sick guy with the wig with the crowbar? A random acid pit? Why didn't he just shoot the girl and not the fisherman in the first place? I'm so confused.

Not just bad, but also insultingly stupid.

Montana is one of the closest, nicest places to go camping, where I'm from. I've been warned about bears, mountain lions, goffer pits in which to break your ankle, etc... all sorts of things in the Montana wilderness. Even weirdoes that kidnap pretty young things for their nefarious wants. But I've never been warned against acid pits. Seriously, what was that?

*PI presses buzzer at the gate of religious compound* "Do you have a warrant?" "No, but I'm an FBI agent, so I'd hate to have to go back and tell them that you didn't let me enter without a warrant. I'm just saying. You're a cult in the woods. We don't want another Waco." What in the hell was that? Is that supposed to pass for good writing. Do the writers even understand what Waco was?

Anyway, that lets you know the caliber of quality that you are dealing with, in this fake-drama, silly nonsense, should-have-been-a-single-episode-of-criminal-minds-but-was-stretched-over-a-full-season-garbage.

Episode 3

Not horrible by any stretch, but this show is just not working. They didn't have a long-term plan, they had a movie in their heads and are now trying to figure out how to stretch 2 hours into a season.
