Life is good for David Cathcart, all set to marry Lady Mary Wimsey, that happiness is shattered the night that her brother, The Duke of Denver learns of Cathcart's recent cheating at cards, that same night Cathcart dies, Denver is found over his body.
It's a good start, interesting to see a bit of scandal in The Wimsey family, it's also good to see the members of it. We didn't get to learn a great deal about the suspects, only Denver seemed likely, Lord Peter will add to the intrigue.
It's a shame that Anthony Ainley isn't in it for very long, being a Doctor Who fan I'm aware of his later years where he played The Master, very good here in a more serious role, and a handsome chap.
Rachel Herbert's hysterics in the court room scene are a little over the top, and possibly the only bit of dodgy acting in this episode.
It's a good start. 8/10.
