Much as with the previous episodes. Both the "stories" here are basically just characters messing up, realizing they did, and then they just end.
Characters are also very lacking overall, so other than some fun moments, there's little here, and certainly not much humor.

Uncomfortable competitiveness

Expectations were not high for either "The Fast and the Furriest" or "Disappearing Act". Neither premise sounded interesting, and 'My Little Pony: Pony Life's' previous episodes involving competitiveness were not done well at all. All of the show's previous episodes were hugely flawed and in most cases downright weak, even the least bad instalments were mediocre. Still watched "The Fast and the Furriest"/"Disappearing Act", due to liking the characters they centre around in 'Friendship is Magic'.
Both "The Fast and the Furriest" and "Disappearing Act" are very poor. Rainbow Dash was in an environment and scenario that suited her so well in 'Friendship is Magic', but it came over as the complete opposite in 'Pony Life'. Like Twilight Sparkle and Rarity as characters elsewhere, especially Rarity, but they are also badly served in stories that should have been perfect for them and played to their strengths but ended up instead wasting and over-simplifying them.
The best, or more like least bad, aspect is the voice acting, all doing a valiant job with what they're given. Ashleigh Ball is particularly good at being firey and at times poignant.
Unfortunately, nothing else works. There is nothing imaginative or vibrant about the animation, which is rushed and careless looking throughout. Indicative of rushed deadlines and low budget. The music is like cheesy high school quality and never fits with what goes on. The theme tune is grating. The writing is limp and unimaginative, there is nowhere near enough humour and what there is is very childish to the point of being juvenile and far too tame. Once again, both dumb down and reinforce the ignorant target audience stereotype people have of My Little Pony, when 'Friendship is Magic' excelled so brilliantly at breaking away from it and providing plenty for people of all ages.
Neither story engages. "The Fast and the Furriest" lacks tension and energy, Rainbow Dash's competitiveness is taken to extremes (so she comes over as arrogant and aggressive) and how she is treated is close to being reminiscent of how she was treated in some of the Wonderbolts Academy episodes in 'Friendship is Magic'. "Disappearing Act" is very uneventful and over-stretched, with 5 minutes worth of material, and Rarity comes over as very melodramatic. There is no charm or heart to either, both are far too simple (especially "Disappearing Act") and the moralising is simplistic and heavy handed. No complexity in the character writing either.
In conclusion, very poor. 2/10.
