The Duchess of Denver hosts a very elite diplomatic party, bored of routine, Dian and Major Milligan crash the party, where she encounters her Harlequin.
Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best episode of the series so far, it has benefited hugely from escaping the confines of the Office, it features some terrific acting from Carmichael, and ends with a very nasty, unexpected 'accident.'
Carmichael is truly on form here, and loving every second of his part here, playing two parts with utter glee, no wonder he is held in such high regard by fans.
Carmichael is matched in quality by the magnificent Peter Bowles, he has the ability to drift from amiable to sinister with ease.
Gorgeous production values on display, it looks amazing.
It does its job incredibly well, asks a few more questions, implies who may be guilty, but leaves you desperate to know whodunnit.
Fantastic, 9/10.
