I thought the acting in this one was more organic. I will admit the supernatural element wasn't completely lost to me, but it didn't feel right. It gave me more American Psycho, then anything else. Either way it was pretty entertaining.

I thought as a whole, it was pretty good. There was suspense, as well as a few jump scares. I think the actors embraced the role well, and there was a certain creepiness with certain characters. I did sort of feel the title was a little misleading. I do realize Sarah's part, however I think maybe going a little further with that may have made the title a little more clear. Honestly, I enjoyed watching it overall, and would recommend to others as well.

Decent watch for an indie movie

This movie wasn't awful but wasn't the best. The acting was decent, had a good story, I wish they would have gone deeper into the story more, was a little predictable for me.

Definitely worth time to watch though.

Estate? More like condo in Boca Raton!

First off, the name of the film is deceiving." The haunting of the Morgan estate" should honestly read more like "bizarre music and acting in a rental property in south Florida." Nothing about the setting gives an estate feel. Not only is this visually unappealing, but the constant bad camera angles focusing on popcorn walls, light switches, and air conditioning intake vents is extremely displeasing to the eye. The music and acting were so poor. I'm sure the actors did the best with what they had but the screen writer should be forbidden from ever typing again. I do not exaggerate when I say save yourself. You will never get the hour and eight minutes back and you will regret it. If it were awfully funny then at least it would be redeeming but it's just awful.

Decent acting for such a low budget. Unfortunately it's wasted on a cookie cutter script with a "twist" you can see coming a mile away. The supernatural aspect is forced, and it's a stretch to call it a haunting. All in all, a pedestrian effort that would fit in well as a Lifetime movie. Not worth a watch.

oh wow, where do i begin..

I cant believe i rented this movie, the haunting of the morgan estate is giving one of those cliche blockbuster wannabe vibes, and yet still fails miserably at even achieving that. The opening scene was probably the best part of the movie. After that, i felt that the movie was too rushed, the editing was atrocious, it would cut to scenes in the future/ past without any context. The writing won the cringe factor award, i felt like i was watching a parody p*rn with the way they delivered their lines. The haunting of Morgan estate also had many holes in the plot, first plot hole; why would he even bring her there in the first place?

The second of many is as soon as they arrive he and the groundskeeper start acting all weird towards her and watching her every move when there was no reason to even suspect anything in the first place. Maybe just maybe, if the movie hadnt been cut so deep by editing that it would be a tolerable film.

I dont know ya'll, but its a no for me dawg. I FORCED myself to sit through to the end, i did that so you didnt have to.

Fifth film of DBS films I watched

Ok let's start out with , yes I have given DBS films favorable reviews in the past and yes I know from you the readers perspective looks. I understand that it is almost impossible to trust a favorable review from a stranger but this time I hope you do. To begin let me say that this was the fifth film from DBS films that I watched however this was DBS films seventh film they made. From the beginning of this film I was unsure of the direction of the film, I was unimpressed by the characters they introduced after the bloody beginning, the movie slows down and I tried to give this movie a chance. The movie's pacing was very slow and all the way to the end it somewhat improved but I was left feeling unfulfilled. Let me make this perfectly clear my criticism is my opinion and mine alone however it is important to you the one reading this DBS films has constantly improved their story telling since this film. They are continuously improving and they care about the films they make and it comes through. For a small indie film company they seem to be going very far and I look forward to seeing where there next movie takes them and I look forward to seeing that movie.

This is a great suspenseful and scary mystery movie! A politician and his girlfriend go for a weekend getaway. While there, she meets the mysterious and ominous maintenance man and some unsettling information about a missing girl. She goes on to do some investigating on her own. This movie will keep you wondering what happens next!

There will always be parts of a movie that you do, and do not like. The acting was decent, but it doesn't give off an estate feel. I wish there was a little bit more oomph. But that's okay.

Only in your dreams have you ever thought that something like this might occur ... ever lay in bed at night and hear those floor creaking or feel the cold breeze on that warm night with no ac on... this will definitely get your bones rolling...

This movie was really tasteful! It had dramatic suspense that kept you wondering while also having just the right amount of jump scares! I especially loved the Practical SFX in the last seen!! I'd recommend this movie to others! :)

Great movie. It is great. It is my fav movie from this industry. It had amazing jump scares. The actors were amazing and they did a phenomenal job. I love the scenery and all camera shots. I definitely recommend watching this movie. You will not regret it.

Completely unexpected ending

I really enjoyed the movie. For an Endie Film... it's just as good as many Lionsgate films I have seen. I actually enjoyed the acting as well. Not over the top and it was realistic through most parts. I had to do the peep through the fingers a few times and jumped a couple times. Ghost movies always get me good... and she did quite a few times. Not the ending I expected... which is good for suspense. The music was creepy and scary which was exactly needed and I loved it. I wanted to slap the creepy dude a couple times and yell mind your own damn business weirdo 🤣

There where some things I would like to have seen done differently, a couple of shots that needed to be redone. The acting was fantastic, the lead actor killed it with switching between the good guy to the bad guy. I would of liked a lil more scary scenes with how much I liked the horror part of the film. Maybe not have shown close ups of our ghost actress. That picture flash scary scene, was fantastic. Again I wish we wouldn't have scene her face up close yet, and have kept her a lil more secretive of how she looks over all. Like when she grabs our female lead kept her face hidden and just show a lil bit of the hand and arm, giving a lot of time to do as much realistic decomp make-up look to it as possible or something to keep us scared. Was a big fan of the Lead Actor being the killer. Liked the hint of that being the case when he switched on his brother immediately after learning of his demise.

I absolutely love everything about this movie and how it was filmed. Very suspenseful and intense. I had to look away multiple times, esp towards the end. I loved the morgan estate in itself because the estate itself is beautiful. My anxiety was through the roof as i was watching it the entire time. The sounds and music make everything 20 times more intense. I'd say it's definitely one of my favorites and I'd watch it on repeat about a hundred times over. The ending is wild and i was literally like "holy sh**"... The actors and filmmakers did a great job! 10 stars, only because i'm unable to do 20 :)

The scenery and actors were on point. I loved following the plot and getting immersed in the suspense on this movie. Absolutely love it <3. Looking forward to more movies in the future. DBS is not only an amazing film company but their community is unbeatable.

The rich is the powerful and always gets away with everything. Love the story line and the acting was actually really good in this film. At brings a sense of reality to what happens in the real world. I give it 2 thumbs up. Some things could be a bit different but over all it is entertaining.

An enjoyable Friday Night Flick

Out of all the DBS films I've watched thus far, The Haunting of the Morgan Estate caught my attention with a higher calibur of acting. The plot itself left me a little wanting, but overall it would be a casual Friday night flick to enjoy. My favorite parts are how the camera person was on point through most of their shots, the artistic way they captured the lead actress during charasmatic moments in a bunch of footage, such as when she was photographing nature and a bird stylistically flitted across the screen. I also enjoyed seeing all the name brand products throughout the movie. In the end, I enjoyed how Meg's colleague slid a DBS card to her across the desk as she was packing up to leave the office for the last time, signaling she would get behind Meg should Meg ever run for congress.

This movie really had me focused from start to finish! There were a lot of moments in the movie where I was expecting something to happen and it didn't or moments where I didn't think something would happen and it made me jump. These are the kind of horror movies I enjoy watching because I enjoy the adrenaline rushes and those unexpected moments that get your heart racing wondering when it's going to happen again. I also enjoy horror movies that involve the paranormal just because the weirdest things happen and you're just like, "woah, what was that." DBS Films did a fantastic job with this one.

Impressed for budget

The acting was extremely impressive in this film. The sound effects and music were perfect to set the scene. Watching this kept me on my toes. The whole time I thought it was going to be one guy then right towards the end the whole plot flipped and that definitely threw me. There were sufficient jump scares and it is moved up to one of my top DBS films.

I loved the settings, such a gorgeous house and it fits the mood of the movie. The plot was really good, and the plot twist was incredible! I'm also always in awe of the cinematography you guys do. The actors were really good omg.

I was pleasently surprised by this movie. The budget definetly was there, and I was there for it. It felt like an indie film, but yet not. The acting was good, and the story was good. Who knew old cameras could tell you secrets of the past! I do also love the little nod to DBS at the end with the business card.
