A Fair Start To A Make Or Break Season
blueoysterdvp18 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
FBI has never been the same since Sela Ward left the show. Her Dana Mosier character showed it's importance during the uneven sophomore season. James Chen as Ian had a diminished role Season 2 which also helped in the show's downfall. Taylor Anthony Miller is a fair replacement at best. Not a fan. Nepotism? Catherine Haena Kim did a great job filling in during Missy Peregrym's maternity leave. So what a big surprise to find out she's off the show for Season 3. A bigger surprise was finding out fan favorite Ebonee Noel as Kristen was also off FBI Season 3. Talk about no chemistry to start a new Season. CBS loves cutting characters and budget when possible. Katherine Renee Turner seems fine so far as Tiffany Wallace though her "no one says "Hot 'Lanta" line won't sit well with Allman Brothers Band fans. Come on writers, do your homework. Turner shows big potential but the jury is still out on her. Omar's friend Zayne was a train wreck of a character. The guy never seemed sane the entire episode. Overacting to boot. John Boyd seemed to tone down his overexcited "Barney Fife" Agent Scola character and was actually likable. So where does that leave FBI Season 3? An uphill climb going by the first episode and personnel changes. Season one had such a likable cast and exciting episodes.(minus the "Most Wanted" hidden Pilot) Now I get the feeling I'm watching the final season. Hope things turn around and I'm wrong.

She's baaaack
cpotato101018 November 2020
Missy Peregrym is back from her "special assignment". (she gave birth in March)

Ebonee Noel seems to have left the show.

Katherine Renee Kane is in as a new Special Agent, Tiffany Wallace, ex-NYPD. She is Special Agent Stuart Scola's new partner.

The first part is Dick Wolf standard, "right-wing" shooters kill four people at a "liberal" media company. Echoes of what happened in France, but no religious subtext. The second attack was an attempted bombing.

These seem almost as background, as the primary story turns on a bad choice by OA's informant friend. This is resolved though OA's actions against the SWAT officer's advice.

The story is somewhat formulaic, but the acting by the main characters was good, as was Andrew Yackel as the informant.

Brick-bats for the shaky cam during some of the outdoors shots. Please stop this.

Wait....what?!?!

Warning: Spoilers
How the heck is the long time deceased character of Justin Voight from Chicago PD raised from the dead and is now known as Special Agent Nestor? I mean, someone didn't do their homework when casting.

10/10 score for annoying the idiots
sophie-mason37 February 2023
I have decided to give this episode a 10/10, because all the snowflake idiots getting upset and giving this a low score are hilarious. Anyone who can get this wound up from a television show should perhaps get rid of their TV or phone or Internet and live in a quiet place underground so their feelings don't get hurt!l anymore! Poor babies.

I will miss Kristen, I really enjoyed her character development, hoping the new characters are half as good as she was. I still don't understand why Jubal Valentine is always shouting, he should chill a bit.

This isn't the greatest show in the world, but come on, getting annoyed that politics or covid are in this show? Get a life you snowflake losers!

Intense
smr2734 December 2021
This episode was intense. Maggie is back. New agent joins. OA has connection with the case. A lot to handle. Odd that in just one scene anyone is wearing masks. Not sure why and it isn't explained. Shows handled coming back after lockdown in different ways. Wolf's series seemed to acknowledge but not consistently (SVU)

not a promising start to S3
nikestart2 December 2020
Needs a casting upgrade : Nestor character was basically a jackal, nothing positive worth associating to Maggie. Agent Tiffany with poor acting and the "I'm from the hood" dialogue. What is this - 1990s ?

Don't like character changes
kirknorenberg26 January 2021
The Nestor character is not likable at all. No chemistry with the Maggie character, the relationship doesn't seem plausible.

I liked Scola's previous partner better than the new one.

Not happy with the Maggie/Nestor storyline
CrimeDrama126 August 2022
Nestor Vertiz was only added to the show to make up for the loss of Kristen. The show needed a source of conflict and Nestor is it. I would never get along with someone like him. The fact that Maggie isn't immediately honest with O. A. rubs me the wrong way. I do find it interesting that she tried to keep her relationship with Nestor a secret, in part, because she fears O. A. wouldn't approve and the two likely won't get along well. If I was in a leadership position with someone like O. A. on my team, I would utilize him as much as possible. I'm just glad Nestor's character doesn't stick around long.

Bad start to second season
tarwaterthomas26 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Well, once again Mr. Dick Wolf is letting his liberal heart bleed all over TV. When some right wingers open fire on employees at a liberal publication, that's when the FBI swings into action; my favorite hero OA has to deal with a quirky informant who may have gone off the rails. He actually takes seven people hostage before OA settles him down and has him taken into custody before one of the snipers takes him out. One of the bad guys wears a red baseball cap with the letters USA above the bill. Ok, Mr. Wolf, I get it. All liberals are good and all conservatives are evil, evil, e-e-e-evil. Trump is a villain. Well, now that your mission has been accomplished and Joe Biden bids fair to be our 46th President, will you please knock it off with the woke crap and get back to making a decent action show? Huh? You were off to a decent start and the first season was actually pretty good. Get back to making a decent bit of entertainment and keep your politics the hell away from the living room. No charge for my suggestion.

Garbage

Impossible to watch this show. Although perhaps the "real" FBI is even more politically motivated.

Not up to par..!
ryanolaf11 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is the poorest episode I've seen, and I've seen them all. I didn't care for the anti white political theme and I'm ticked that Ebonee Noel was replaced. She played her part well and looked good doing it (may have been the problem). Scola's new partner is written in as street smart, but comes across as ridiculous. Nevertheless, I will remain a fan until the politics too becomes prevalent..

Great - another show ruined
CKM223 February 2021
Started season 3 with a bang on bs. Used to like this show but like everything it has to shove ridiculous cries of white supremacy down our throats. You want to be true to reality show producer? Then your shows should be about attacks on Jewish people in New York or police officers being assaulted out of the blue for no reason - that would be true to life not this OMG everyone is a white supremist Nazi nonsense. Oh - and the 2 new additions to the cast are terrible - can't act to save their lives. Bring back the computer savvy girl, she was much better than this annoying "from the hood" person with zero likability.

The story at least had a bit of action , but FFS Trumo lost the election stop making shows and episodes about the terrorist BLM and White supremist etc, it's getting annoying making out that all white people are bad and the rest are treated badly all the time, get back to making action cop shows and leave the politics out of it, PLEASE

Enough with the politics!!!
Just-A-Girl-143 June 2021
When is Hollywood going to get it? We do NOT want to see all this political CRAP!

We do N-O-T!!! Get it????

We want action and crimes and good guys catching bad guys. Why is everything political? What? No other crimes? It's so tiring! Two minutes into the episode and I'm already rolling my eyes so much I'm getting a headache. If I want politics I turn on the news. Why can't you just entertain? Stop ruining every single show. I'm so tired of this.

And btw, you may think you are more evolved (or in other words, that you are better then us), but you are not! You're creating division and conflicts where they shouldn't be and you're sucking up the fun out of everything!

Seriously, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop the "woke" politics.
scott-emily7019 August 2021
I thought I would give this show a chance. I made it through the first minute and had to stop. I want to be entertained, not lectured that all white people are racist. Stop it already. Enough is enough, and it's tearing this country apart, which is probably the intention.

Good show again dragged down
rickwright-9489313 March 2022
The critical reviews are perhaps too harsh and there's no need to take swipes at Dick Wolf. But they have a point. Once again the people making this show are letting their social-political views drag down an otherwise good show with good stories and strong acting. Checking off those boxes. Bad guys are right wing white supremacists. Victims are progressive journalists and favored intersectional groups.

We get it. Progressive good. Distorted caricatures of not-progressive Americans bad and just can't wait to go on killing sprees. Meanwhile who wields the most social/political/economic and especially cultural power? The political messaging is tiresome and is spoiling an otherwise excellent series. Keep this up and some of us will look for alternatives.

(Meant to add this review and accidentally edited my review of an earlier episode.)
