This is a really good adventure/thriller, but be warned. The science makes absolutely no sense. Don't try to understand why they are fleeing the sun. Just enjoy the ride.
Great characters. Great premise except for that whole science thing.
Kind of a cross between the Langoliers, the Horror at 37,000 feet and Lost.
Good stuff, y'all. Shut off brain and have a good time.

I found this short series to be fun, a bit campy (in a good way), and easily binge-worthy of an evening. The story is fun, if just a bit lean on hard science. And each character has clear prior issues, which the writers love to focus on (usually one character per episode). In any event, this was fun and at times easy to get lost into the "OMG, will they make it?" each episode. Not all do make it, which is also a good thing.

Worth watching just for that line. Anyone old enough to remember the early 1970s 'Airport' movies will probably be inclined to regard this as a homage to that genre, and quite rightly. Pushes all the Airport buttons and then resets them again and again. Nonsense, scientifically and aeronautically, of course, but hugely enjoyable.

Finally a TV Series that coincides with the Actual Earth Sciences, Geology, Astrophysics, etc..
That Geologists had found out was that the Earth's land mass has shifted many times before, the North Pole was previously the South Pole as a Polar Axis Shift. One of the most devastating things that happened during Polar Axis Shifts was the changes to the Earth's Force Field that protects the Earth from Solar Radiation, the Earth's Magnetosphere.
During these Polar Axis Shifts there were extreme changes to the Weather, Climate Change, unlike the British Flat Earth Society's Global Warming renamed Climate Change when the British Flat Earth Society not real Scientists could not explain events before World Industrialization, Human Pollution, U.S. Vice President Al Gore's proven Lie "Global Warming" to make himself wealthy as disproved by Michael Moore's 2019 Documentary "Planet of the Humans".
As a U.S. Military Officer with more than 10 Career Fields, including Aviation, Physiology, Epidemiology, and previously as Enlisted and NCO more than 5 Military Occupational Skills,

Today's Passenger Aircraft can take off and land when computers are set correctly, the Pilot and or Co Pilot have their hands on the steering wheel just in case. This capability to land and take off existed since the early 1980s, as different radio signals were received by different receivers, left, right, up, down.
Flying Rotary Wing (Helicopters) is not the same as flying Fixed Wing. Not everybody that learned to fly Rotary Wing learned to fly Fixed Wing.
Not very many Civilian Aircraft have Standardized locations of Instrument Clusters, Switches, Circuit Breakers, etc.. Because of this takes a very long time to figure things out.

Aside complete mumbo jumbo on airport, airplane and flight security, that's an interesting pilot of a thriller series, more drama-centric, so it seems, than scientific facts. Just forgivingly smile, relax and have a good time.

They are flying a commercial Airliner so why land and Kinross airfield it wouldn't be big enough to land that type of plane there. Going by that logic of landing on any runway there is Inverness airport or the Shetlands airport. Realistically Aberdeen or Edinburgh should have been the choice.

Nice plot from the story point of view... characters kind of well developed...
But if you are an aviation professional do try to ignore the enormous quantity of mistakes surrounding the aircraft operation, from the backtrack of the Gates without a "pushback vehicle" (Planes don't have a Reverse Gear) to deploying an escape sleeve at the front door and then make it disappear by magic and being able to close back the airplane door, you will be fine...
Someone should have asked the help of a pilot or air steward to give some simple basic advice on simple aircraft operations...
