I think I speak for many people when I say...

Oh just sod OFF Katarina!

Please can we just finish her storyline, it's been dragged out far too long. Berlin was way more interesting, probably because we saw less of him! I agree with another reviewer who said they wished Lotte Verbeek had been aged up. She has a commanding screen presence.

Marvin Gerard is like Glen and Teddy Brimley, always a good addition to an episode.

Any episode where Dembe gets more screen time is the better for it.

Lost, maybe for a while

Can anyone tell me what the conflict between Katarina and Reddington is? What is the information she's searching for from Dembe or his imam? Did I miss it in a previous episode? It's getting annoying trying to follow this.

Warning: Spoilers
The stars are for the series, in general, and not for the character Katarina Rostova. After all this time of looking forward to possibly seeing this character turn up I'm definitely disappointment in this actresses' portrayal of her. Perhaps it is because I'm finding that the mystery of her was more enticing than the one dimensional character I see on screen. Also, I find her a bit whiny and entitled. Maybe that's who they meant the character to be. I was glad for her demise which, as of this episode, was not her demise, after all. Bummer.

Set up for a big episode next week

Warning: Spoilers
A fun episode which saw the return of the colourful Marvin Gerard and guest appearance from Al Roker. Liz venturing down a dark path and Red's ill health makes this is a stressful episode to watch.

Just a filler.

Yes it was , As Glen said to Raymond when he was bankrupt post Kaplan Mess with his bank accounts " Thrill is Gone". We are witnessing the same. Writing abysmal. Katarina Rostova played by Laila Robins has not got a single iota of threat personality or how writers described her as some sort of Legendary Russian KGB Spy. The way she speaks or laugh results in Overacting. It would have been a nice choice if that Younger Katarina Lotte Verbeek might have continued playing the role with some sort of old age makeup. Being 2nd last episode of season they should have shed some light atleast 10-20% on Townsend Directive. Elizabeth continues to be a character hated by whole universe and it's not her fault writers have groomed Liz character in such a way that we are bound to hate her for her conflicted personality/mentality,nothing wrong with Boone's acting she is acting the way it has been asked from her. Even after all this I am giving 9 because sometimes supporters have to support even if your team ain't performing well. I hope Kazaanzian Bros in a cartoon mode entertain us and give us a befitting season finale 😎

Much ado about not that much

Warning: Spoilers
The 150th episode is filled to the brim with non events and confirms the dawning realisation that the writing team is simply jaded.

Real life celebrity cameos and neat tying of unwanted loose ends notwithstanding, this episode presented a special opportunity for the writers to flex some literary prowess. The Imam, Dembe, Red and Liz are all confronted with choices with existential dimensions and heavy life consequences. The episode is so packed with the blacklister tangent and the over riding plot that Spader has no time to be Spader and the bad guys seem like nothing but a stall.

These episodes now feel like nails in the coffin of a complex yet compelling narrative that seems drawn way past its prime. Perhaps this is why the finale is trying something different. With season 8 still on the charts, here's hoping that the writers succeed in finding inspiration where many others in their place (GoT, Scrubs, HIMYM, Suits, House of Cards, Homeland, etc etc.) have failed.

It's About Katerina and Elizabeth
Hitchcoc7 December 2022
Who's have thought that these two would continue to be such a significant part of the show. As it drags along, I'm afraid that both Katarina and Elizabeth will die of old age before we finish this story. Dembe, a much more interesting character, tests his faith, and comes out better. So back we go to the same old plot. Reddington knows something Elizabeth is searching for and Katarina needs to do something to be free and Red is keeping her from attaining that. So now we have the daughter (one of the most tiresome characters in history) trying to figure out. Oh, and Reddington seems to have some fort of illness that will handicap him for a while.

Talentless acting riddled with plot holes
nemesis-8810 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It sure looks like the writers have forgotten what they have written in previous seasons and episodes. Katarina (GOSH!) Rostova (GEEZ!) is presumably looking for something or someone to stop some kind of a "directive" sent to kill her. Yet, she seems completely unoccupied by it as she kills person after person in persuit of... what? What exactly is she trying to achieve with all this nonsense? Laila Robins' lack of talent is multiplied by the horrible make-up and costumes. WHY is she interchangeably dressed either like a German pop-singer from the 80s or a 90-year-old babushka? WHY her make-up makes her look 20 years older than she is? Boone remains the certain-age-group-favorite bimbo who does nothing but spoil the show and give miss-america interviews about it. Spader looks VERY second-hand and tired. The plots become more and more idiotic and far fetched. Dangerous criminals are periodically let out of jail to commit crimes and then come back to their warden because "he takes care of our families"? That's not even funny. This show is equally disconnected both from reality and the next season. Everyone's just squeezing the remains of their fees out of it. See you on DVD.

Respect

Quran must be treated with respect! Even though she didn't throw it on camera the sound indicates that she did! This can be edited by fixing the sound.
