You're not ready!
Sam_KA5 March 2020
Given how slow this season was from start to finish I can simply say one thing about this episode - you are not ready. I binged this entire season and thought I was still in the early episodes but then this episode striked me as slightly different to the others early on. I checked and realised it was the 9th and understood what a ride I was in for!

One thing I was really hoping for coming into this season was that it wouldn't lose the thing it did so well in the last season and this episode reminds you that it very much does not lose it. This may be the hype talking, but I would go so far as to say it actually somehow tops it!

I clapped.

Masterful Climax
ComradWinston6 March 2020
It might sound shallow but the way every distinct story told, each coming to its climax all at once, overwhelms the senses. Yet in the impossible drama of it all, nothing seems impossible. It all becomes less absurd for the contrast.

Brilliant execution.

This episode was stunning... I can't even believe the creativity behind the battle between Isaac and the magician.

Warning: Spoilers
This season was a little slow at the beggining but when you have reached to this episode..WOW!. It has everything: a lot of action, cliffhanger at the end and a very good CGI animation (the final sequence through the hell was amazing!). Congratulations to the director!

After the relative slow start of the season this episode goes full blazing and it's going to keep you glued to your seat wanting more. Amazing job!

An animation tour de force! I watch a lot of animated series, but this episode was without a doubt the most breathtaking one I have ever seen!

Worst episode of the three seasons
trashcanforthespam19 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Why did they have more than one story line where someone was betrayed during sex? Did the writers run out of betrayal storyline ideas? And why even make taka and sumi betray alucard? In one of the prior episodes the three of them were playfully giggling and rolling through the grass. Taka and sumi were candidly walking side by side empathizing with how lonely he seemed....and then they hatched an elaborate plan to immobilize him with some kind of magical bondage...hmmmm why does that sound familiar...and their reason? Well, it's vague but they start whining about his not teaching them magic? being betrayed by others so they decide to betray him? They went from pleasant wide eyed characters to demonic, whiny, childish murderous demons at the drop of a hat. Hector's betrayal by a female vampire is much more satisfying if not redundant. (Carmilla did it last season. Did you forget, Hector?!) because IT MAKES SENSE! Lenore was very obviously playing him for several episodes with a purpose. We knew she had a reason for doing so. It was dubious at times, praise to the writers for that, but her plan was made obvious by the end.
