The Sackler family needed a new product on the market, a blockbuster that would bring in vast sums of money, step forward oxycontin.
A pretty solid start, it's a pretty well made and well acted drama, but of course the main element here is the story itself, it still shocks me to this day, unbelievable how it was allowed to happen.
It's quite dry, so don't expect any humour, here they focused on the origins of oxycontin, how it came to be, and what motivated its development.
The US health system seems to be primarily about money, rather than actual care, this doesn't do much to deter
Matthew Broderick steals the show for me.
Pretty good, I have a feeling more is to come.
6/10.
