Deserved and necessary homage to women...
RosanaBotafogo15 February 2021
"Kill Hitler! The Luck of the Devil" and "Women at War 1939-1945" two excellent French documentaries of 2015, about the second war, here we have a necessary appreciation for several women, warriors, courageous women who lost their lives in favor of freedom, justice and fraternity, and to think that in the midst of the British battalion, there was a troop made up only of women, with weapons and weapons and a lot of determination... Women, the eternal victims of war, because no matter which side they are on, will always be subjugated, raped and disrespected ...

A shame
subsrt25 December 2021
The imaging is magnificent but this documentary is leftist and communist propaganda for several reasons:
  • At start of the war, the French Communists arrested by French government are presented as victims while they are for treason since they support the Hitler-Stalin pact, in particular with actions of sabotage on the French army and the anti-French propaganda. This is also found in the French left which is mostly peaceful and does not want to war on Nazis.

  • It is a shame not to mention Marie-Madeleine Fourcade in a documentary on French women during the Second World War. Indeed, Marie-Madeleine Fourcade is nationalist which is wrong for this pro-leftist documentary. It is however at the top of the recognition of the heroes of this war until the left decides to erase her from history, notably President François Hollande in commemorations.

=> 2/10.
