Terminus introduced a buddy SciFi fan to the genre.

I grew up in the larger Tampa Bay area and fondly remember this show when I was young. It was on Saturday afternoons and when the TV was free, households back than typically had only one TV, I would try and watch. While I know I saw many SciFi shows on it the one that sticks in my mind in particular was Donovan's Brain which was very eerie. This show was the local NBC station's answer to Shock Theater which was on late Friday night on the CBS affiliate.

I grew up watching Terminus, the theater of Science Fiction

I'm very glad to finally see Terminus get it's own IMDB page. However, Terminus, the theater of Science Fiction began in either 1963 or 1964, not 1969. The first 2 movies aired on a Saturday afternoon were GODZILLA, KING OF THE MONSTERS and IT, THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE.
