We finally learn the riddle of the cigarette case, it seemed like such a bizarre, insignificant detail, but it had a huge significance.
This is a very pleasing conclusion, the death of Mark was unexpected, so it's been less formulaic then I'd previously anticipated. The killer comes as a surprise, the production team did a good job in leading the viewer up a blind alley.
Very solid acting from Thaw and Syms once again, the acting has been one of the most enjoyable aspects.
Once again, as I watch, I wish Durbridge's work would be adapted once again.
