Alright first episode, be interesting which angle they go for.

Always tricky when going into ghost territory.

Let's see how the mystery unfolds.

Soulless

Some might call it atmospheric and moody, others might call it claptrap. There have been a few mini series on ITV of late. The last one was Honour which was concise and completed in 2 episodes. A great watch telling a sensitive true story. This, in comparison, looks like it is going to be a long four hours. Being made by Euston Films (The Sweeney, Minder), I thought we were in for a treat. I know it's Halloween this weekend but it looks like we have been tricked. Even if you have good hearing you will have to use subtitles to follow the storyline. The living are harder to hear than the character whom is believed to be no longer with us.

A slightly below part start.

Part one down, I'd say it's average, I'll try and explain why. On paper, the book of Neil Cross is very good, I'm not sure if there's something a bit off with the screen play, or the production, but something's not quite right.

I've not seen a lot of love for this four part series, it's definitely better than some of the reviews would have you suggest.

Russell Tovey is very good as Nathan, he is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else here, I'm a huge fan of Bertie Carvel, but he is shocking here, where on Earth has that voice come from, it's pretty irritating.

Maybe it'll get better, but Part one is a little lacking, 5/10.
