I generally enjoy this series and the main actors are as always excellent, but Anne Reid's character Celia is really becoming a miserable self centred old harridan.

Celia continues her downward spiral

Warning: Spoilers
Interesting that a show created by, written by, staring, and about women chooses to make Celia a stereotypical old nag. I have enjoyed the show but Celia continues to be less likable with each series. She is stubborn and headstrong and bags everyone until she gets her way or damages a relationship. It would be refreshing to have seen her evolve some to be more tolerant of others and learn how to communicate.
Turn out the lights- the party's over.

Warning: Spoilers
The ironic sexual romping that made the first two seasons funny has been replaced by grim exposes of everyone's darkest character traits. Apparently the only people left to be happy are the grandson and surprise-I'm-pregnant girlfriend. There's almost zero humor, no charm, and little reason to tune in- unless cynical predictability is your taste.
Gone downhill - no spoliers
